if you think K-mart is high, then you must not shop at Target too much, it is a lot higher than K-mart! Trust me I know, I shopped at Target a lot when I lived in Tn and it is higher than K-mart, I wish that we would get a Meijers!

Meijers is high priced too. The only good thing about them is that they do have good prices in the weekly flier. But to just walk in to shop, forget it. If it isn't on sale it's too high. Our Kmart closed a year ago and the worst thing about it being out of business is the empty store. It's an eyesore.

Have they marked up the prices and then say 20-30 percent off? This is what they did in winchester. They are higher than walmarts.
I agree with others that targets and meijers are both expensive. We need some kind of store that will be reasonably priced, Something like Burke's.

You know what make's me mad is when I'm in line and I hear people around me giving the worker's hell .I mean they only work there they are doing all they can to help the customers.I for one know that the lady that is standing there checking me out had nothing to do with the fact that there isn't enough help in the store or the prices are to high or wrong. So before you go into a store and act really rude then you better think that may be your daughter ,wife, mother, son, Girlfriend ,one of these day's just something to think about not to mention some of these people are loosing there only source of income.

It's true, it's always those on the front line who get the complaints. Take them to the manager.

As for Kmart, I rarely shopped at ours once Sears bought them. I don't know why but Kmart stores tend to be dirtier than other stores as well as more disorganized. And once Sears bought them it seemed to me that their prices went up and I started seeing all the Sears merchandise in Kmart. Which is fine until the variety became so narrow that it was Sears brand or none. If I want Sears I went to Sears. I buy certain products at discount stores and certain things at brand name stores. Detergent and toilet paper at the dollar stores or Big Lots, appliances at Sears. Oh wait, I haven't bought new appliances in at least 15 years. But you get my point.

Kmart prices are higher than anyone elses. EX: Jergens body lotion at Kmart was $10, at Walmart the exact same lotion $7. Kmart's childrens clothing is a joke w very few racks to choose from & always a mess. The store appears dirty & very disorganized also. When trying to check out there is 1 register open & a line backed up to the aisles. Check out the perfume counters & make-up....a chaotic mess....

I agree. But don't you have to wonder how every Kmart winds up looking the same way? I've been in Kmart in at least 4 states and numerous cities and it's always the same. Unkempt is the best I can say and downright dirty at others. How does management manage that in every store?

But you have to realize it's just like any place else if there isn't enough employee's in the store to take care of the customer's and keep the merchandise organized it fall's back to management not the lady at the front register. And personally I like Kmart's children's clothes a lot better tan Walmart.

I don't know that it is the manager's fault. Since I've never seen a clean Kmart I have to assume that they don't have any kind of housekeeping dept. and leave cleaning as the last thing to be done. And it's not the clerk's fault. It just seems strange that every one I've ever been in is dirty.
