I'd hate to see an overall health grade for the whole community. What's with all the junk and burning debris out by the former Mayor's tennis-walk court? It was really smokey stinkin'.

your talking about the Health Dept for the whole community, has anyone been by Myrna Bains house what a piece of junk and a town sore. Has the city tried to do something about all of that garbage. Tuesday night she was over Al Jacksons house loading all of his junk on that trailor and I thought some more junk in that yard, it ought to be condemed and made to clean it up. I sure am glad she is not my neighbor.

I thought the subject was a restaurant not someone's home. Ms.Bain isn't bothering anyone and she appears to be shy and nice.

I agree, she is a nice lady. Let's see now, we supposed to put Apple Barrel and Pizza Hut down...and Patty Ann's up, isn't that the agenda here? I guess things have been pretty slow.

Myrna is nice but her place is a health issue and an eye-sore.She need to clean it up and remove that junk. She brings junk from other towns and from the county. Is she getting special treatment?

Sharon G, it was stated in an earlier post I'd hate to see an overall health grade to the community, an I see that as a health problem for our community and I never stated that she wasn't nice and I didn't say she was bothering someone so get it straight.

evidently you haven't been down that street once-upon-a-time, and I agree with Wondering it is a BAD eyesore, just went by there yesterday and it sure not a piece of art picasso, man I remember the Bain house when I was a child and it's a long way from being that house now. Even when Jerry was alive it wasn't that bad.

Myrna doesn't get special treatment. They fine her all the time. The code enforcer fines her and she just pays the fine.

look, it can be poor old lady but you don't have to junk up a place and if she wants to do that, that's her business but in town there are codes you have to abide by and that is sure not one of them. If anybody else had that much junk in their yard they would sure have the code officer on them.

All those comments and none of them on the condition of Apple Barrel.
Went into Pizza Hut the other night, there were only 2 tables taken. There were 6 employees in there. I stood by the "Please wait to be seated" sign for 5 min. Not even the manager said anything . She was at the register. She could have said, be right with you or something. Finally the cook made a comment and still no one said anything. I hate it that Hayti doesn't have a better choice of places to eat.

"Beauty..is in the eye of the beholder;" and, "one man's junk is another man's treasure." Then...is not Hayti too beautiful to clean up?

EXCUSE ME if you don't like it don't drive through here but in my eyes it is not a cesspool thank you. It is a nice town and is a long way from being a cesspool, there may be some places here that needs cleaning up but for the morjority(sp) of the town is pretty clean. Proud of where I'm from.
