If you haven't tuned in to A&E's Duck Dynasty, then you've missed a real treat!

Duck Dynasty is the reality show revolving around the TRUE STORY of Phil Roberton & his family of Monroe, Louisana.

Phil parlayed his love of Duck hunting into a multi-million dollar business making "Duck Commander" Duck calls. Now, his whole family is involved in the "Duck Commander" duck call business empire.

On first sight, Phil Robertson could be mistaken for a homeless man - with his long unruly beard & hair and his simple down-to-earth humble manner. He looks might even be compared to the grisly unkempt appearance of John the Baptist!

But, the truth is, Phil holds a masters degree, was a star football player & even turned down the NFL because it took too much time away from his beloved duck hunting. He also taught school, worked in the oil fields and has been & is a preacher.

The Robertson family has become so successful while remaining humble & down to earth! But, most importantly, they are NOT ASHAMED TO BE CHRISTIANS - and they live their Christianity every day...

Duck Dynasty might be compared to Andy Griffin Show - the perfect mix of humor & the Christ-likness this country needs (so badly) as roll models to our society.

Well, what'a you know - wonders never cease!

Phil Robertson & his family are members of my church (in Louisana, of course). Our preacher (here in Rolla) met Phil Robertson last year when he was making a speech at Harding University in Searcy Arkansas.

When my youngest son was living in Illinois (years before Duck Dynasty) he met Phil Robertson when Phil was there promoting his Duck Commander duck calls.

well alumni, I to agree.. DD is the best.
and his talk on saying prayer at the table is one of his best!
He said A & E always edited out."in Jesus Name" and let Amen slide... he told the camera guy..
Everything on the planet earth that man "counts by" is because of "THE MAN"
AMEN!!!

Great analogy for Atheists. Wonder if they put the year they were born down on records being that the year is based on "annoi domini" ?

I will say that, in all honesty, DD is far superior to anything on !E where they take women with loose morals and turn them into celebrities. At least we seem to have gotten rid of Paris Hilton, please make Kim K and her entire family the next to vanish.

I was really surprised to hear that Si has a wife and has been married for 48 years. Just based on some of the antics, I thought he was single. Still, only judging by the antics I see on the show, his wife has to be a very patient woman

hey, 61 - how ya been - glad to see ya finally got turned on to duck dynasty - not sure everyone is aware, but phil's oldest son, and the only beardless one, is a Church of Christ minister - phil spoke at our lion's club meeting last year and he is great - if you remember, the episode racing lawn mowers, i am in the stands watching the race - my new claim to fame is drinking a glass of tea with sy - decided not to move to colorado - that thought came in one of those "fogbound" moments - i already have a prescription for the stuff, so why bother to move - still have our alligator farm - the market for alligators would surprise you - you wouldn't believe their building - pretty small and what you see at the beginning of their show is it - they have a little gift shop in the front - mostly kids from their church work it - i gave brother, sister and son-in-law copies of their book for christmas -i wanted one of the guys to sign them, but they were all hunting - Kori happened to come out while i was there and she signed them for me - pretty neat - and we do agree, it is good to see someone recognize that all he has accomplished is because of the Grace of God - See ya

Yep, I agree Duck Dynasty is the best show that's come along on tv in a long long time.

Say, if you'd like to see a couple of videos of Phil Robertson preaching just go to
.

Since I'm not very computer literate - and you cannot get this video to come up - just key in "Duck Commander Preaching hard - shell shocked outdoors Youtube".

Another video of Phil Robertson preaching can be viewed by keying in "Phil Robertson Deciding to Follow Jesus".

If you are directing this question to me - yes, I have speakers & am always going on Youtube to watch & listen to songs. One my favorites is Waylon Jennings & Jessie Colter. Just love their songs "Storms Never Last" and others. I really like Jessie Colter - and I cry almost everytime I hear her sing "You Hung the Moon Didn't you Waylon". I can't help thinking about my dear husband when I hear this song.

I also like to listen to Janis Joplin sing Me & Bobby McGee (this also reminds me of him...

If you can hear those but not the Duck Dynasty videos then I would say the problem is at the site and it is not you.

I must have not made myself clear - I haven't ever had any trouble being able to hear any of the Ducy Dynasty videos. I can't even remember what I said that made you think I'd had a problem hearing them.

The only thing that might have made you think this is when I was telling Christy if she could't get to the video of Phil Robertson "Preaching Hard" with the long http: website I gave her -that she could reach it by just typing in "Duck Commander Preaching Hard".

I had typed this long website in a couple of times & I got the wrong website.(that's why I mentioned this to Christy).

I must have typed it in wrong when I kept getting the wrong website.

Yes, she's a great singer with a really unique voice. I don't remember the song "Ball & Chain", but I'll be sure to check it out on Youtube. Thanks

Good to hear from you, Tiger High - I've been wondering what happened to you. Glad you didn't go off to Colorado (that's a looong way off).

You ask how I'm doing - well, I've got a bad case of cabin fever. I'm so sick of snow, sleet, rain & nasty weather. We got another inch or so of snow last night. Looks like winter is never going to end. It's hard to believe it's SPRINGTIME ALREADY!!!

Yes, my son from Louisana turned me on to Duck Dynasty & now I watch it all the time. Great show with a whole lot of good moral messages which is needed so badly in today's society!!!

You are so lucky to live down there & be able to meet the Robertson family. Yes, I'm proud to say they are all members of the same church I go to. I hope one day, I might be able to attend church services at their church.

Yes, I remember the episode where they are racing lawn mowers - when they run it again, I'll try to watch up in the stands - who knows, maybe I'll recognize a familiar face (you) ha ha!

Hey, just keep plugging along - you might even be able to incorporate your alligator farm in one of the episodes. Do you remember the episode when they found a alligator in their garage & Miss Kay became hysterical?

My favorite episode was the one where Phil & Si went to school on career day and made a talk! Now, I don't care who it is - that was funny! Talk to you later.
