Such a shame, people have lost babysitters now because of someone's selfish act.

I don't think anyone had to close, but I know several people who have to find a new sitter because they aren't allowed to have over 4 children unless state certified.

I don't think it was anyone particular that called in I think the state is finally doing their job. If we didn't take too many kids in the first place that wouldn't happen now would it? I know I wouldn't want my kid to be left at a babysitter who had more than they were supposed to. There are rules for a reason people and that is to protect our kids. Really whatever daycare got caught needs to be shut down for good for not following guidelines.

It should be up to parent who they want to leave their kids with. If your kids ar bein taken care of then that's all that should matter. I know a licensed day car right here in our town that I wouldn't take my dog to much less my kid. I would much rather them be with someone I trusted. As far as the state doing their job, that would be a first. I am sure there are more pressing matters than if someone has too many kids in their house or not.

Yea. Well my child goes to one of the daycares that was reported. Apparently I was informed that the state told her Kim Sullivan and Sharon Nolan were the ones who called. Kim doesn't surprise me bcuz their tire shop will rip you smooth off as well. I hope you both go bankrupt.

Well the state doesn't tell who called. Maybe she just assumed it was them. Also, I don't know about Kim Sullivan but Kim Jones has started keeping kids. Maybe there was some confusion there.

I dont think being state certified makes you a better sitter or protects your kids any more than not being certified. If your a bad sitter then that certification wont make a difference, it is hard to find a sitter as it is and now alot of parents are going to have to quit their jobs. So sad I think a parent should decide if someone has to many kids to take care of theirs not the state.

It should absolutely 100 percent be the parent's decision on where the child goes for daycare. the state should have no say whatsoever in your choice of a responsible sitter you are comfortable with. It is hard to drop your kid off somewhere for the day and finding someone you trust is hard, even harder on the child to have to be removed from a comfortable situation. I have a child in daycare and luckily wasnt affected by this but I feel very sorry for the children and their parents. This should never have happened

U can take your child wherever and a sitter with 2 or so kids doesnt hafta be certified! But, you are supposed to report the income if your a sitter!

I think this all boils down to the fact that someone that is state certified wants all those that aren't to be shut down. This is another thing that the state has its nose in that should not concern them. If I, as a parent don't have a problem that my sitter has more than 4 children, then why should anyone else. If you are no state certified, then why is the state butting into your business? Isn't it funny that most of the babysitters in town were contacted by the state, EXCEPT for the one that is state certified. Just because you are state certified does not, and I repeat DOES NOT mean that you are more responsible or a better child care giver. I know this from personal experience.

I know for a fact I wouldn't use one of them in town that is because they go to pick kids up at the school and that vehicle they drive is packed down with kids that are not buckled in or anything. I am really surprised that they have not been stopped yet.

Apparently you sitter assumed wrong, Kim Sullivan does not have a daycare she has a problem with daycare since Kountry Kids closed along with a few others. Anyone who knows Kim very well knows she does'nt cause drama. As far as the state telling she called I use to have a state daycare several years ago and still have contact with a lady and I will call her and ask if the state would tell who called in, but I can already tell You the answer is no they cannot release that information. Will do this Monday morning. Remember when you tell lies on other people God knows you are doing wrong and your time will come.

I heard state workers pushed their way into several homes by intimidation. This is something handy to keep around the next time this happens:

And Sharon is state certified.
