What do you think spurred on the great crusades? If you have any education at all, you know the bloody Islamic expansion by Arab Muslims into European countries where it had no business being.

For a season, they conquered what is now Israel, Spain and parts of France. They had their sights on "Occupying Great Britain" next, and the eventually the whole world. Christian Kings were only trying to prevent the Muslim bloodbath from spreading into their countries.

Muslim Arabs talk about occupation on the west bank at the same time they're trying to occupy the world. These people are just as ignorant and barbaric today as they were thirteen hounded years ago. Oil may have made them rich, but not civilized or intelligent.

Islamic militants stormed into Our Lady of Salvation Church in Baghdad during a Sunday evening mass on October 31. Minutes earlier, the militants detonated bombs in the neighborhood and gunned down two policemen at the nearby stock exchange. Their final target, however, was the Christian community in Baghdad.

Upon entering the church, seven or eight suicide bombers held more than 100 Catholic believers hostage at gunpoint. The militants – who call themselves the Islamic State of Iraq and are linked to Al-Qaeda – wasted no time in making their agenda known. They immediately sought the church leadership, shooting Rev. Saad Abdal Tha’ir, Rev. Waseem Tabeeh and Rev. Raphael Qatin. Two died instantly, and the third on the way to the hospital hours later.

Four hours after the siege Iraqi security forces stormed the church. The militants immediately detonated their explosive belts, killing themselves and taking others with them. After all was done, at least 50 worshippers were killed. It’s uncertain when and how the Christians died; either shot by militants, blown apart by explosives, or caught in the line of fire during the police raid. Whatever the cause of death, however, the militants had accomplished their objective

Iran is a fervently Shiite Islamic Republic, with a 98 percent Muslim population and 89 percent of those Muslims identifying as Shiite, according to the CIA World Factbook. Twelver Shiism is the largest branch of Shiite Islam, with about 85 percent of Shiite adhering to the belief in the 12th imam. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, father of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, was a Twelver. So is the current supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Now, what does this mean? A series of imams was appointed to carry on the Prophet Muhammad's message, they believe, ranking above all other prophets except for Muhammad himself. The 12th, Muhammad al-Mahdi, is believed by these Shiites to have been born in present-day Iraq in 869 and never to have died, only gone into hiding. Twelvers -- not other Shiites or Sunni Muslims -- believe that al-Mahdi will return as a messiah with Jesus to bring peace to the world and establish Islam as the ruling faith across the globe.

The apocalyptic catch? The Mahdi is expected to appear when the world is wracked in utter chaos and war. Many Sunnis also believe that the Mahdi will come in such a judgment-day scenario, but believe that he has not been born yet.

The Twelver beliefs have raised concern in conjunction with Iran's steeped interest in furiously pressing forward with its nuclear program, combined with threats against Israel and the West. Critics of the Islamic Republic allege that Ahmadinejad and the supreme leader would even go so far as to hasten a nuclear showdown and cataclysmic strike -- perhaps an attack on Israel and inevitable retaliation -- to hasten the arrival of the 12th Imam.

Ahmadinejad has even called for the reappearance of the 12th Imam from the podium of the United Nations General Assembly. During his speeches within Iran, Ahmadinejad has said that the main mission of the Islamic Revolution is to pave the way for the reappearance of the 12th Imam.

Why are you praying pious "pie in the sky" look-at-me Pharisee prayers on the Taven Apartments thread but mock a post about Christian Arabs being executed by Muslim extremists??

I know... because, you're not praying to Jesus... maybe you're praying to one of those platic bobble-headed Jesus' or Allah himself. You don't fool anyone with your sick twisted perversions.

ALEXANDRIA, Egypt (Reuters)– A bomb killed at least 21 people outside a church in the Egyptian city of Alexandria early on New Year's Day and the Interior Ministry said a foreign-backed suicide bomber may have been responsible. Dozens of people were wounded by the blast, which scattered body parts, destroyed cars and smashed windows.
A statement posted on an Islamist website called on Muslims to "bomb churches during the Christmas holiday when churches are crowded." It was not clear who was behind the statement that listed churches in Egypt and elsewhere, including Alexandria's Church of the Two Saints that was targeted.

You missed the point. These articles are about terrorists and murderers not politics and religion. If it were your family and friends being murdered by these barbarians you would have a whole different attitude.

KY Jelly Guest doesn't miss the point at all. He doesn't have a point. He's just an anti-Christian troll except on Christmas and Easter.

The media regularly reports about the danger to America from Islamic terrorists. But what about potential threats from inside this country?

Radical Muslims are looking for ways to bring sharia law to the United States.

CAIR claims to be the nation's leading Muslim civil rights group. But the group's critics say it's focused more on making Islam a dominant force than with fighting bigotry.

In a 1998, CAIR founder Omar Ahmad told the San Ramon Valley Herald, "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

Others point to a 1991 memo by the radical Muslim Brotherhood challenging American Islamic groups.

The memorandum, presented as evidence during a terrorism trial last year, reads that these Muslim groups "must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands" until Islam reigns supreme."

For radical Muslims, that means pushing an aggressive, pro-Islam agenda that's been increasingly successful in recent years: Muslim cab drivers in Minneapolis refuse to carry passengers who have alcohol in their possession. Public schools schedule prayer breaks to accommodate Muslim students. Pork is banned in the workplace - the list goes on.

Islam expert Robert Spencer says Americans have caved in to such demands far too often. His new book, The Stealth Jihad, describes the non-violent war being waged by radical Muslims against American society.

CAIRO – An al-Qaida-linked group in Gaza was behind the New Year's Day suicide bombing that killed 21 Christians and wounded about a hundred outside a church in the Mediterranean port city of Alexandria, the country's interior minister announced Sunday.
Habib al-Adly said the shadowy, Gaza-based Army of Islam in Gaza was behind the attack, which sparked three days of Christian rioting in Cairo and several other cities. It was the deadliest attack against Christians in Egypt in more than a decade.

Authorities in the U.S. and Germany are scrambling to determine whether the shooting attack Wednesday that killed two U.S. airmen at the airport in Frankfurt was an act of terrorism.

The suspect is said to be a Muslim man with family in Kosovo who was born in Germany and was working at the airport at the time of the attack. He reportedly said "Allah Akbar" before opening fire on a bus outside the airport. The deadly attack also wounded two others before the man was taken into custody.
