Reading some of this is comical to say the least. So people on food stamps don't know how to cook? They don't deserve to feed their children? They don't try in life?
I receive food stamps! I also am a single mother of two, a full-time college student, and am employed. Do I buy packaged foods? Sure! I take 22 credit hours at the University, work, kids activities, and have homework. I don't have 2 hours a day to cook sometimes. Before you all speak maybe you should know the circumstances in ones life. I pay my taxes just like the next person and I do receive assistance to help me get through school.
Yes, I am using my internet that I actually need for my coursework. Yes, I have a phone. Yes, I pay my utilities just like everybody else in life. And yes, I receive food stamps so my children don't have to starve in the process of me bettering our lives.
I hope I have educated some of you in the fact that all people on food stamps are not the same. Have a blessed day.
