Just run on governemnt being responsible with their spending and you will be fine. We already know that Dems love to spend money they don't have.

Except that the eight year long spending hayday that was the George W. Bush administration proves that democrats and republicans both love to spend money.

At least democrats have the common sense to make sure we have the cash.

republicans cut taxes and increase spending. pretty illogical.

Democrats have the common sense to make sure we have the cash? Are you refering to massive tax increases coming down the road? Maybe the dems running congress now should follow their own rule and pay for the increases in spending they are pushing through instead of just piling on more massive debt for my two year old son to pay off! Go Demmer!!

Demmer's a 'wannabe'! Another 'pubthug' trying to sneak in by using "DEM" in his name -- Definitely a 'sleeper' agent of the party of NO who wants to work for "big business" which is WALL STREET and the big BANKS!

Oh really? Trillion dollar budget deficits for as far as the eye can see were unknown until Obama and the democrats took over the government.

And Bush's spending was constantly critized by the democrats as being not enough (see Katrina).

This comment made no sense when you left it on the Strib's site and it makes no sense here. You need help with your writers.

I noticed that any comments relating to Walz' fraudulent claims about his military service are being pulled over at the Strib's site. We'll see how the PP handles them.

That's the Bob I know ... and love. Always true to the course. And don't forget, Tim's an educator too. That makes him suspect right there. Ya sure ...

You need Rochester, Winona, Austin-Albert Lea and Mankato (which is Tim's stomping-grounds) to win the First. All have been trending Dem in the last twenty years. Not to mention the rise in Dem rural votes in SE MN. Same thing across the river in Western Wisconsin ... trending Dem for the last two decades.

The GOP needs to mount an expensive and sophisticated campaign down there in order to win. Rochester, for example, is no Podunk.
