Why is there so much talk of pro-religion and anti-government in Macon County?

Because it's full of godviners with no rspect for King Obama!

Macon went for McCain and Palin in 2008 and for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in 2012, almost 4 to 1. Its really sad that the county has come to this. Religion is just a front though for a bunch of con artists. The so called leaders just use religion as a threat to keep ignorant people in line.
What are godviners? Who are they?

The religious nuts are the government in Macon County. Thats the way they hand out jobs and stay in control of the ignorant voters. They voted for Sarah Palin remember? And those nuts Romney and Ryan. They want a Baptist Pope in Franklin.

Unfortunately, yes, and often times the people here are conservative about the wrong things, and are into religion for the wrong reasons. I don't feel comfortable talking about certain things around these close-minded tards, because of their quickness to judge and deem you a "bad person" or "unrighteous"for not sharing the same opinions they do.

Conservative is not the right word. The right word is sheep. They are ignorant sheep in Franklin. They vote against themselves when they vote for the ignorant so-called leaders they follow blindly.
