Gloucester: Java Junction?

Full story: Hampton Roads Daily Press

If the arrival last year of Gloucester 's first two Starbucks stores signified that it was on a minor coffee binge, the county's now on a full-blown caffeinated bender.

How wonderful it is that Mr. Gucanac is combining sales of a consumer product with eco-awareness. Can't wait to try some coffee!

Fantastic coffee. I bought some Saturday and can't believe the difference fresh roasting can make. So long Folgers. I also spent an hour watching a roast with four other customers. Very fun.

Starbucks destroys thousands of acres of rain forest every day to grow coffee plantations which are worked by child slave laborers and contribute to global warming, while the workers in their stores are bombarded with toxic second-hand coffee fumes and are dying in record numbers. Meanwile the Starbuck's Corporation and their evil CEO are enjoying record profits on the backs of poor coffee addicts, while the coffee industry covers up the adverse health effects of caffeine. But does George Bush care? Of course not. He's in the pockets of "Big Coffee".

Yo, Jo knows Joe. Ya know? And save those gounds after brewing, cause the crabs are coming in thick to the smell when I spread it around the pots. I imagina it has to be the smell that draws them, because when I pull 'em up, they do not have coffee cups with them.

Most coffee roasters monitor the machinery used to roast the coffee, but this Roaster, as you can tell, monitors the flavor of the coffee they are producing. My daughter calls him Coffee Joe,but his parents know the reason why.
