Oh man what a sad story. Both men are victims, just in different ways:

John Mason Jr, we as a society let you down. We failed to educate you and train you to obtain meaningful employment. I hope you can find a new path to follow, hopefully one that includes Jesus.

To the shooting victim visiting from Hayes, VA, sorry that guns are so easily available in our society. Sorry that we couldn't provide a better life for you and the man who shot you.

On behalf of the people of Newport News, please accept our apology.

How do you know anything about this person's job status, education, or social situation? You aren't stereotyping against your own race are you? You can't force someone to get an education and a job if they don't want them.

STOP IT! "Society" did not let the young man down. He and he alone let himself down. You and your kind are who are letting your young people down. Tell them they are the victim and they can't do anything and they will beleive you. It's not the white man, guns or drugs. It's people like you who tell them it's not your fault when you should be grabbing them around the shirt collar and belt and kicking their backsides till you have their attention. Teach them that "MEN" stand on their own feet and accept responsibility for their actions.

But he was a convicted felon. He wasn't alowed to have a gun. Oh my, let's create some more laws to restrict everybody rights so we can keep the bad people from doing bad things.
Maybe the state can educate this dumb a** with an injection.

I am not apologizing for a damn thing. I didn't give him the gun and tell him to shoot anyone. He's grown and knew what he was doing. Get off it, HG.

You without a doubt are the dumbest person on earth. For some reason you think you are educated about guns but, the moron you feel sorry for missed the fact that one can kill someone with a gun. HG you have to be trying to pull strings because there is no way you can be this stupid.

Thanks Niki. You save me the effort of finding the right words.

HG, U a funny guy. You just come across a thread and spout your outragous trash knowing you'll agitate someone. You just want the attention so you will say anything to initiate a response. If you are indeed serious and believe the crap you type, you are a twisted warped individual. Me. on the other hand treat the threads as fun entertainment and you my friend are the cartoon character.:o)

"We as a society failed you"? hahahahaha. Since when did personal responsibility go the way of the wild west?? I'm so sick of people blaming society for families that fail to raise their children, who instead turn them loose on society as savages, with no clue as to right or wrong.

HG has finally shown me the light! Up until his last post I thought he was just plain wrong. But saying it just one more time has made me abandon my lawfully owned guns and my 'same laws for everybody' and 'equal punishment for equal crime' mentality. I now say any black kid is entitled to free board, free housing, and the first two murders his does cannot be prosecuted. Just kidding.
Thats what it is

Dennis S you are just as dumb. I'll say it again everyone commits crimes black, white, asian any race. In this instance it was a black man not a kid and I always thought you are innocent until proven guilty. But hey guess what the suspect isn't from NN and guess what the victim isn't from NN. I guess that is why their are no post like leave the body there for fertilizer or stupid crap like that.
