Nothing in any of these articles says anything about the people who are paying them for the stolen goods. While what these idiots did is criminal and stupid, shouldn't there be some penalty or fine for the people or companies that knowingly buy the copper items from these criminals? Surely they would have to know that someone showing up wanting to sell copper materials that are obviously stolen from an electric substation or from light poles on the roadside and such aren't salvaging materials from a renovation project at their home. Stop the money, the crime will slow up and/or disappear.
I fully agree. They better clamp down now on these scrap dealers before this grows to out of control porportions. Ill go one further. In my opinion these 3 should be charged federally as "domestic Terrorists" Anytime you mess with the power grid yo run the potential of knocking out power for thousands. Blow one of those transformers and Va Power will have to special order one! These guys cant be too swift! tell me? Have you ever seen a dog, cat, rabbit, bird or any other type animal wandering around in a sub station? Even they have the brains to stay away.

you dumb asses......you had the world by the balls, and many second chances....you should have learned where that life would get you after we buried my brother......scott...turn yourself in and face it dude.....here is your second, im sorry, third chance to make your life right. it kills me to have watched you guys grow up and think you would have learned from my well marinated bumps as a young man, and even the lives of your own friends that were lost to this "lifestyle". all three of you know me very well, my number has been the same for 17 years and will remain so, call me , collect so I can once again chew your ass's out...I am sooo disapointed......I have a personal attachment to these boys and always tried to make examples of my own mistakes to point them in the right direction..so with that being said no need for a comment from the general public , this a plea, to tighten the F$%# up and get on with life.....HG .....S.T.F.U........

The thing about all these thugs out here doing all this damage and stealing, the tax payer is the one paying for this. In Suffolk thieves have damaged endless air conditioners at a school, at a cost of over $30,000. Just to get copper, the companies that buy this should stop buying from small concerns. One only has to guess these are all on drugs or something. Nothing in this world is sacred, with all the stealing and people getting killed every day in this area one wonders what kind of world will our grand children have to look forward to. I guess I am like everyone we are all fed up with it.
