I don't care what a 28 year old Kawananakoa did in 1989. Nor do I care that he allegedly dropped out of politics in 1998 because of a run away drug addiction problem.
I for one will base my judgement of the 2008 Quentin Kawananakoa on who HE says he is and what HE says he will do. Don't bother me with the ancient history garbage.
If the poor guy has had these problems in the past, going to the big square building will probably cause a relapse as he has to deal with the mentally challenged on a daily basis.
However, I can't blame him for wanting to get out of the house. I'd be trying to get away from "I'm the Queen" Abby too.

We need Quentin back in office because he understands how easy it is to lose oneself on the dark path. He knows first hand what Satan’s poison will make one do to oneself, their loved ones and others. He knows the stigma of being convicted of felony promotion of a dangerous drug. He knows how quickly life can spiral out of control with drug addiction. He knows how hard it is to get a job with this baggage.

Quentin’s personal shame mirrors the challenges many in our community face every day.

Using this logic we should find the biggest born again druggie loser we can to be the leader of us all. We need to find someone who has momentarily overcome their addictions long enough to pushes on others their self righteous holier than thou beliefs. I guess you are also on board with supporting that “reformed” cocaine smoker Duke Aiona for Governor.

For me I'll hold out for someone with more self-restraint and character.

Here we go again...election year.
Let's see how the people vote...yet again this year. Keep the same people in office with no changes. It's funny how I hear so many people that moved to the mainland complain how things were so bad back home (wah, wah, wah)..and I've said this time and time again...why did they move away when they created this mess? My family and I left our homeland to get away from the never ending incompetences of the voters and office holders who screw this beautiful place up. Ya'll need to figure something out. I think the only 'smart' thing done was voting Lingle as the Governor twice...and after her era, it'll be the status quo all over again...vote for the same party. So, next time you vote, either vote for change, or don't flock away to the mainland and crowd another neighborhood or the streets because you're fed up with your inabilities to vote....good luck!
