why would they offer a good working package, there are not any businesses in the area dipping into the local labor pool. If anything the labor pool is being filled with more people while the demand for labor is decreased.

This should make those who have fought against local growth excited because this makes labor cheaper. The only people that will get raises working in Hawarden are the city employees (even though they had to cut jobs to 'save money')

How exactly does it suck? How low is the pay? What's the work like, light or heavy? What are the big boss and supervisors like? Are they jerks? Do they treat employees like dirt?

actually the starting pay is 8.75 and the place has really cleaned up in the last year since they have a new plant manager that knows pretty much everything about injection molding and its a company trying to get going yet and ya some people r kinda rude up there and the work is about the easiest i have ever seen and the supervisors r really nice now they help the operators if they need it ya they don't offer insurance yet but they r working on it i would say if you haven't seen it or been up there in the last couple months then you really shouldnt be commenting on this

The new manager knows nothing when it comes to those machines. He didnt know anything when he 1st walked through those doors and he knows nothing now. If you are sucking up for a pay raise, forget it. they are to cheap to give raises. to many people know how that place really is so your comment means nothing....

I filled out an application, handed it off to the HR guy, or the guy who seems to do the hiring, chatted with him about my situation (retired, but not tired, and looking for work)and never heard back from him. But that's par for the course these days. Employers are too lazy to send out a generic flush letter.

What do they make at this place that requires them to be so secretive? The front door is always locked. When they let you in, you have wait just inside the door. I heard they make plastic medical containers. Are they afraid of terrorists breaking in and pissing in their urine specimen cups?

I applied for a job there, answering an ad in the paper. Some guy met at the door to give me an ap and the next day met me again to take the completed ap. I never heard back from them, but that's par for the course. People are too goddam lazy to write a generic flush letter. I also applied at CoilCraft three times in reply to Help Wanted ads. No dice. No flush letter, either. Anyway, the upshot is that I got an online job where I can make more in a day and a half than I would working a week at this urine specimen joint.

i had heard bad things about plasticology, but i needed a job. i applied anyway and they got a new manager that fixed alot of stuff. it's not like what i heard at all. i like it because the i get along real well with everyone and the work isn't too hard. its not wierd for companies to not call back. i applied to a bunch of places before and they don't bother. when the door ain't locked people just come in and roam around, so sometimes its locked.
