the independent is pretty much the only paper with local new and sports. you will receive the advertiser every week that includes ads and activities at the local watering holes and restaurants

I believe Space Cadet asked a simple question, no need to lecture him on how he/she spends their time. You don't know their work schedule! Space Cadet I agree with GFY, the independent is your best bet for all West Sioux activities. Hopefully this helps :)

the northwest review we get at the school all the time but only when west sioux is mentioned in it and that isnt very often. the independent is the best because there is a section in the paper called the falcon banner which has is done by the school every week so the public knows what is going on and what good things have happened and the independent has a good guy running the sport section. but it is still good to go to the games and support us students if you are able to. right now i think the sports are like on pause because basketball has just ended and they are preparing for the spring/ summer sports. those are track, golf, baseball, softball, and soccer i think. hope that helps space cadet.

Its (realize) not relize and don't not do. Two errors in one sentence, not bad but you still failed. Just kidding. so don't get your panties in a wad.

I'm finding The Akron Hometowner is covering more Hawarden sports and events and I like their writing better then the Independent.

at least the Hometowner is worth reading. That Steve Peterson guy from the Hometowner is always everywhere. Why do people in Hawarden even buy that other paper anymore?

Steve Peterson from the Hometowner is awesome. He has covered every single thing the Jaycees have done. He even came out to our monthly meeting Tuesday Night to get names and pictures of our 2010 newly elected board of directors. As far as I am concerned the HOmetowner is the only paper around. Most of the stuff in the Independent half the time is Elk Point Stuff...Who Cares about Elk Point.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Leo

You'll be action-oriented today, Leo. If truth be told, intense physical activity has the ability to soothe you much more than frenzied mental exercise. Invitations to madness are the wrong thing for you, but they are tempting nonetheless. Dig in your heels and do what you know you have to do. When driving this evening, take extra care.
