Does anyone know who the person that was killed is? This little shopping center is getting pretty rough lately. Maybe the city of Norwalk should get more Public Safety Personnel to monitor the area to make it a little safer for the community.

You hardly ever see Norwalk Sheriffs Deputies or Norwalk Public Safety Officers in this area of Norwalk. I agree their should be more patrols of the area and it should not be neglected.

Maybe cause the Sheriffs station is only about
3000 yards away down the street. They are constantly driving by that shopping center on
their way to other parts of the city.If you
think of it that way it was kind of a fluke.
Kind of like when that BofA in La Palma got
successfuly robbed of $300,000 even though
it is only 200 yards north of the La Palma
police station

Time for another remedial math lesson Mr. Noneway.

RE: "the Sheriffs station is only about

This looks like a simple problem on the High School Exit Exam.

3000 yards = 9,000 feet so almost a mile

5,280 feet = one mile

10,560 feet - two mile

two mile east
two mile west
two mile north
two mile south = 16 SQUARE MILES!!!

Google maps may cover that area easily, but with freeways, train tracks, deadends, oil fields, riverbeds. That is one BIG area to be covered.

Draw a line from the Sheriffs station on Civic
center drive to the corner of Imperial/Norwalk
Blvd.It's actually less than 3000 yards.Do you
even know the proximity of Paddison Square to
the Sheriffs station?I guess not.In actual
driving distance- it's a little less than one
half mile-maybe closer to a quarter of a mile.

between the sheriffs station and Padisson square.

Mr. NoWay (notice the change - you are losing something)

The figure 3,000 yards is YOURS.

The mathmatics are universally accepted around the world.(Yes, even where the majority use the metric system)

16 SQUARE MILES - is a VERY big area.

The sub-station covers a MUCH larger area than the 16 miles even you presented, officers are in motion to MANY other cities that have contracted with the LASD. This is a plus for Norwalk - we get ADDITIONAL police coverage that is not contracted. Downey, Pico Rivera, Whittier, La Mirada - would LOVE to have the substation in their city.

Sorry, the local law seems to be cramping your "style."

Can you follow a thread?2 posters said
the (SHOPPING CENTER)perhaps needs more
Police presence...

Oneways...It's right down the fricken
street from the sheriffs station so it
already gets plenty of exposure to
LASD passing by.It happened at friggin
midnight when the shopping center was
closed(no people around).So why divert
reasorces better deployed to other parts
of the city to watch Paddison square?
I think you need to attend remedial
reading comprehension

Once again.... The gangster created his own problem by being a gangster.... He was out of his little comfort zone and other rival gangster wacked him... just another chapter in the life of a gangster.... the important thing is that no self respecting community members were affected...
