Let's face it, this is just another form of social promotion that has been going on for decades. All of the rhetoric on illegal aliens aside, this was an act done by the teacher to make herself and her kids look more educated than they really are. As with millions of other students across the country that don't know a subject, they will be passed onto the next grade, and the next, and the next. Eventually they will enter the CSU system and complain that the taxpayer's are not paying enough so they can take the remedial courses they need before they take real college courses.
