With a sister like her, who needs enemies? To say that she had no idea of the dealings between her now ex-husband and ht edetective who tricked a confession out of her brother, is pure bull shit. I watched this documentary on TV about this case and never once thought he was guilty. I wonder how much she was paid to help the true killer avoid trail. Hopefully someone will find out. She is only acting out the way she is now because she has something to hide.

The confession was not signed because Gottloeb called the homicide office directing all questioning to stop. If the two detectives lied they would've finished the statement and ignore the lawyer's call.

Wow, I was shocked to read your post.
I wish I could have you read some other posts to get a better perspective.
You are right "you" wouldn't confess to something you didn't do.
But, you weren't a 17 yr old - barefoot in a cement room being grilled by professionals -not given food (thus low blood sugar/brain weary)just finding your parents bludgeoned, feeling like you had to say anything "they" wanted to hear to just have them STOP after 6 hours.
It's like a brainwashing, truly.
Please, stop and walk in another's shoes. Ask any POW - and they are sometimes trained, prepared adults.
It is this stubborn, self important thinking that gets this country in trouble.

There had to be lots more to convict than just half of a conviction. Several appeal decisions originaly supported the guilty verdict too. They would had immediately thrown the case out if it was baseless as many suggest.

innocent people are convicted of crimes for a simple reason that a judge might not like a particular lawyer and not allow crucial evidence that may prove their innocence, or prosecutors in an election year trying to make a name for themselves while running for the DA's office. It all sounds like a conspiracy to me from the judge to the prosecutor to the detectives all trying to solve a case for political gain. At the time of Marty's questioning, he was 17 years old which correct me if i'm wrong is still considered a minor who should never have been questioned without a lawyer present therefore, the so called confession, which by the way was never signed, should have never been admitted into evidence. If that was one of the deciding factors for the jurors, the outcome could have been very different if the confession had been thrown out.

Its pretty sad when your half sister is only after the money. Why would all these people testify to Creedon doing the murder if it didnt happen what did they have to gain?

You all live in a dream world! Why confess to murdering your parents if you didn't do it. I don't believe any of that false confession crap and reasons why people give false confessions. Other than getting the crap beat out of you by police, which didn't happen this adopted premadonna. If he truely loved his parents the way he said, why confess? Tankliff was smart and he played the police. Did you noticed right before the confession he asked the police " will I be able to go home if I confess?" Ya right, he knew better. Even at 17 you know if you confess to murdering your parents you don't get to go home! It's all good, they're are many people who think he got away with murder. He'll be reminded everyday from those people he did it.

That's what you think. Trust me. I used to think the same thing. I am now an attorney. These cops use some threatening tactics. They could make YOU confess to something you didn't do. And how about those crazy people who crank call after a crime is committed and say they did it when they didn't? John Mark Karr, that nut who said he killed JonBenet Ramsey was delusional and he didn't do it.

You're not a legal professional, I take it. Well, I am. And I know that PEOPLE DO FALSELY CONFESS!!!! There are psychological factors involved. It's not so black and white. People do irrational things. NOT TO MENTION MCCREADY WROTE THAT CONFESSION HIMSELF. FOR ALL YOU KNOW HALF THE SHIT WASN'T EVEN SAID BY MARTY. HE DIDN'T SIGN IT!!!

People FALSELY confess because they are terrorized by the cops and beaten down so bad they will impulsively do ANYTHING to end the torture. Tankleff did not confess because he was guilty. He confessed because that McDickheadCready lied to him and he wanted to get away from him.

The jury got it wrong!
The jury did get it wrong. They couldn't get past the fact that Marty was a well-to-do kid from an affluent neighborhood who had everything. I think that's the seed they had planted in their heads: "Let's crucify this privileged kid."

The guy is sinister. He is dead in the soul.
Of course he whacked his parents.
They all have that same grinning behind the eyes look. See Chris Porco.
He was a spolied rich kid with adopted parents who were old enough to be his grandparents, another small red flag goes up.
He picked the perfect night to do it, the people there playing poker would be the perfect scapegoats.

No, Actually the general and reasonable concensus is that Martin was horribly and unjustly treated. To me he is an incredible inspiration. It's truly a miracle that he was released. That just doesn't happen for no reason. You are off in your own world somewhere. Or some friend of one of the conspirators perhaps?
