I saw a person working at Carino's that I KNOW is in jail at RPSO DC2.

Does it bother anyone else that prisoners are handling your food?

Are there any other restaurants in Alexandria-Pineville using prisoner labor?

If they served their time, they aren't prisoners anymore.

Nah, doesn't bother me unless they are in jail for poisoning someone.

These are work release prisoners. There are still in jail, but get to leave during the day to work.

I don't care, as the poster above said. As long as they aren't known for poisoning food or murdering innocent people.

All of them use work release including Bistro on the Bayou, Tunks, Cajun Landing, I hop,and many more. They work hard. Besides, there are thousands of convicted felons of all types of crimes to include incest, robbery, sodomy, rape and various homicide offenses.I am thankful they are working, paying taxes and turning their life around.

Thank you Carino's for giving these "Prisoners" another chance. They are human beings just as we are....NO ONE is perfect!

I would feel much safer knowing that some of the staff are Work Release persons rather than not having a clue about the staff.
Those Work Release people are closely supervised, their history is known and they know if they "screw up", they will be sent back to prison.

If you applaud Carino's you've been duped. They use the current convicts to stuff the pasta and make the special sauce because they can hire them for penny's on the dollar. Not only is Carino's depriving these jobs from law abiding people trying to feed their family they are subjecting we patrons from whatever comes with people of criminal disposition. No thanks and no applause. To Carino's for trying to use dirty slave labor to fix our food

I eat at Carinos at least once a month or more. I have never had an issue with service or food. Carinos just happens to be a competitor for Bellino's on Jackson, thus the bad reviews for Carinos. I do not work there nor am I related to anyone who does work at Carinos, but right is right. Bellinos is good food too but not worth the money.

Buffet Buster, you are a real dumbass if you think a Bellino would come on here using their real name. LOL

I also agree with CX about the use of inmate labor in our restaurants. They are getting workers for cheap and the workers are nasty inmates.

They are no more nasty then the other people working there. You need to stop going to restaurants if it bothers you because just about every restaurant in Alexandria has offender cooks and or waiters!!

Well, Dork, at least I am not a self proclaimed DORK. I guess all you paranoid folks to lazy to eat at home better hire a maid that has a clean background to cook for you. A felony conviction no more makes one a "nasty" person anymore that you posting on this blog makes you a "credible person."

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Sagittarius

It's important to be discriminating about what you say and believe today. That's because communications are rather strange, with people saying or doing odd things and plenty of scope for crossed wires. Be very careful if you're attending to important details because for some reason your brain may switch off at the vital moment, leaving you prone to making mistakes or losing track of what you're doing. Try to double-check anything important tomorrow when your brain is back in gear.
