If married & looking for a sperm donor, you'd pick

The husband is unable to produce live sperm and the couple has tried numerous medical specialist and medicines, what route would you take for a sperm donor?
A) The Husband's Brother
B) A sperm Bank

Well having a child with your husbands brother's sperm would make your child have a duncle so I would lean towards a sperm donor

I would vote for the sperm bank. If there was any problems. I sure wont want to be the husbands brother.If it was my sperm I sure would be worry sick over it..........

Angel I have a 12 week old child that was conceived using my husbands brothers sperm. They approached us which I guess helped as you don't feel as if he was pressured into it plus he already has 2 kids and knew what we would miss out on. We did it through IVF, its a procedure called IUI it took us 4 go's at it. We legally had to have a couple of counseling sessions before Dr. would do anything. The great thing about it is everyone keeps saying how much our baby looks like my husband (him and his brother look so much alike) Also my Dr said that siblings genetics work on the rule that you are 25% you and 75% your sibling so the baby is only missing the 25% of my husband(hope that makes sense). You also need to talk about whether you'll tell your baby, we all decided we will as we are not ashamed about what we have done and if you tell the child and don't make a big deal out of it the child will adjust better too.(I know I would want to be told if it was me). We just made sure we involved in them in the pregnancy and if your husbands brother has a wife or partner make sure you spare a thought for her too (imagine if you were in her shoes).
All in all it's worked for us and we have a beautiful baby boy and are happy and grateful for their priceless gift!

if i realises there was a problem with my bits, and if we really wanted a child, i would definatly want my brother sperm then. But no way would he be inserting it. It would be done through a sperm bank or something

My husband and I can't have children ourselves so we turned to his family and we considered his brother but the brother is just nasty and most likely has got something from going from all those nasty women to another with out protection. So we are going with his father. We all are comfortable with the arrangement and can't wait to have a baby of our own.
