Sorry about posting double, I despise people who do that.
But seriously, "From TN" learn your Bible or shut up. Don't expose the rest of us to the humiliation of being classified as ignorant. It takes two seconds to open the Bible and check, "Yup...that's in there, they really talk about donkey wangs in my Bible..."
Here, what about the part where Lot's daughters date rape him? What about the part where God curses Ham for laughing at his drunk dad? What about the part with the TALKING DONKEY?! This book is insane, there is so many radical events that should definitely not be taken for granted, it's amazing. And I believe every word of it and I love how crazy that sounds. I'm not ignorant, I'm not mean, I don't care if you're gay or an alcoholic or if you do drugs, I love you just the same. I don't mind people who oppose my faith, I love talking about other religions and comparing notes. There is so much we can learn from each other, EVOLVE YOU LOWSY CHRISTIANS!!!!!
(And be grateful that the anti-chritian folk are so clever, it keeps us on our toes just like it should be)
Actually, ham is cursed because i had a incestual relationship with his mom. The verse talks about how noah gets drunk and passes out, exposing his nakedness. This "exposing his father's nakedness" is an old testament euphamism for he left his wife unprotected. For someone to "look upon the father's nakedness" would mean that they had sex with the wife. When ham looks upon his father's nakedness he commits the obscene crime of incest and this is why he is cursed.

I would like to respond by submitting someone else's answer to the question "How do christians explain these verses Deuteronomy 23:1 ESV?"

His answer is as follows:

"We don't explain them. This is part of the Jewish law governing who could become a member of the tribes of ancient Israel.

Christ fulfilled the Judaic Law and we are no longer subject to it as Christians. So this passage has no modern relevance for Christians.
I doubt that modern Jews still enforce this prohibition, but you need to ask a Torah scholar to be sure.

Shalom!"

Very good answer.

The people here seem to be very obsessed with context. How about this:
Deuteronomy 24:16 - "Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin."
Why is this in the Bible if God condemned ALL of humanity just because Adam and Eve ate some stupid apples he placed in their reach on purpose? Not to mention how he orders the killing of huge masses of innocent children just because their parents (and not even all of them) have done something wrong.

The term for 'youths' in the Hebrew text can indicate young adult men. To say it has to deal exclusively with children is misleading.

I'm sick of people that are twisted by authority figures to believe in whatever they're told. Take a philosophy class and learn to think as a individual. Another thing don't condemn or tell people to go/burn in hell. Only people that deserve to go there are the people who say that. By the way, the only reason people believe in god is because they want to go to heaven which makes them selfish. Why can't people be good rational beings just for the sake of being good?

10. 2 Kings 2:23-24 NKJV
Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him,“Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.
9. Mark 14:51-52 NASB
A young man was following Him, wearing nothing but a linen sheet over his naked body; and they seized him. But he pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked.
8. Deuteronomy 23:1 ESV
No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord.
7. Genesis 38:8-10 NASB
Then Judah said to Onan,“Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform your duty as a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother’s wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD; so He took his life also.
6. 1 Samuel 18:25-27 ESV
Then Saul said,“Thus shall you say to David,‘The king desires no bride-price except a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, that he may be avenged of the king’s enemies.’” Now Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines. And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king’s son-in-law. Before the time had expired, David arose and went, along with his men, and killed two hundred of the Philistines. And David brought their foreskins, which were given in full number to the king, that he might become the king’s son-in-law. And Saul gave him his daughter Michal for a wife.
5. Exodus 4:24-25 NASB
Now it came about at the lodging place on the way that the LORD met him and sought to put him to death. Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son’s foreskin and threw it at Moses’ feet, and she said,“You are indeed a bridegroom of blood to me.”
. Ezekiel 16:17 NIV
You also took the fine jewelry I gave you, the jewelry made of my gold and silver, and you made for yourself male idols and engaged in prostitution with them.
3. Ezekiel 23:19-20 NET
Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions.
2. Judges 3:19-25 ESV
And Ehud reached with his left hand, took the sword from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly. And the hilt also went in after the blade, and the fat closed over the blade, for he did not pull the sword out of his belly; and the dung came out.
1. Deuteronomy 25:11-12 NASB
If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity.
The fault is in your translations. Use the inspired Word of God Kjv 1611 and there no errors. These translations were by man not God.

The ones i have looked up this far i have found to be in the bible. They just sound humerous out of context, or have to do with the sacrificial laws or civil laws of israel. But they are in the bible.

Where does Jesus ever use slang, insulting demeaning derogatory inflaming remarks? It seems that you want to express yourself, or relieve yourself. Which basically is serve your personal human emotion. Despite what ever you do or say, the word from God cannot be changed by mere comments. You might offer an apology for all those things you said, someone might see them and know who you are. Even in the face of adversity we are expected to show humility.

It is very clear you are taking only the one verse you want to show, why not the whole context...
