Patty I believe that I found you and your brother.. I as very concerned about giving out phone numbers and such over the Internet. Just a few questions about you.... is your middle initial L. and is your last name the same as your brother or are you married? Please type back as soon as you can I would love to talk to you before your brother sentencing...Jonathan received 4 years and has to pay 7500.00, I do not understand any of this, he has just turned 21. I really do not know how to feel about any of this, Everyday my heart is ripped out...We get to talk to him for now and we have seen him twice. He will be moved soon, but we do not know when or where. It has been a little over a month now, and speaking to him, I see he has grown so much...God has a plan for him, We know this, It may not be just about him but he maybe there to help others. He has done sever unselfish acts while he has been in there and I am so amazed by him, he seems to have no bitterness over all that has happened and just hope for the best...His father and I are trying to dill with this the best way we can...We miss him so much, but somehow we will keep our faith in God and look forward to having our family whole again. I pray for your family and remember no matter what happens you and your family will never be alone. GOD is with you always.

our big brother(fbi-cia-nsa)sets up sites to "catch" persons in the act of looking and downloading,
some things they want you to use :
if your building a device a large fire cracker
they want you to look at the plans on the internet
so if they have to unhook your "firecracker" they will know which wire to cut!
also most of the drug how to's are put there by them , the robots at the nsa look for key words and then when they find them logs the E-Mail or phone call or text message for it to be looked at by a human

GANDY pled guilty on January 14, 2008 to possessing and receiving child pornography. He was arrested on November 7, 2007 at his residence pursuant to an arrest warrant issued from the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi in Hattiesburg. Following an investigation by the FBI, GANDY was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on November 20, 2007 for possession, receiving, and distributing child pornography (Title 18, United States Code Sections 2252(a)(4)(B), 2252(a)(2), and 2253, respectively). The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Glenda Haynes.

Jonathan Gandy pled guilty to possession and ONLY possession. Jonathan was charged with possession and ONLY possession. This is another mistake that has been made by the FBI. If they cannot get the charges right, what would make you think that they have anything right. Just because someone pled guilty, that does not necessary mean that they are guilty… I will say again that Jonathan has not harmed a living person nor has he ever had any contact with anyone. I have found that there are many people in the same situation as our family. People who have done no more that used the Internet to down load music and videos. These people have not searched out child porn nor has Jonathan. If there is anything that I could do to change these laws I would, these laws are for someone who has committed a crime not kids on computers.
My heart goes out to the family of all victims including the one who are being accused. Jonathan was never allowed to view any photos that he was charged with; is this not against his Constructional Right to face his accuser? We need to have our Constructional Right restored in the United States.

Yes, indeed, if someone pleads guilty it does in fact mean they are guilty. HE OPTED FOR A PLEA DEAL is why he didn't face his accuser. He was guilty, pled guilty. DONE end of story. IF HE WERE NOT GUILTY, HE WOULD NOT HAVE PLED GUILTY.

I don’t know what you mean by enablers? I believe there are many people in jail, who does not deserve to be there. The punishment that some people have been given, does not fix the crime. These laws need to be looked into. Guilty by the law, states possession and Jonathan was in possession but by not knowingly possessing makes him innocent that is two different things.

I dont know where you are getting your information but it is wrong. You have your own opinion about this and I have mine,there is no way I would ever give up on my child or trying to change these laws. I know that by trying to change these laws, it will probably not help my child but I would never want any else to have to go through what my family has gone through. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. I do not understand how the FBI can pass on information that is not the truth. This is why I am trying to change this world, so that it may help others somehow.
Jonathan will serve his time, and hopefully, will be able to move forward with his life. Our family will be here to support him in everyway we can.

restofthestory: Explain to some of these people what "public record " is . when he was picked up acording to public record he was given Receipt's for what was taken by the FBI copys of those Receipt's are on file for public viewing ,each thing taken was given a evidence number and bagged
and sealed with tamper proof seal tape , non FBI persons wittnessd the sealing and un-sealing to confirm that the chain of evidence was not broken
when the computers were taken to the lab they were un-sealed in front of non-fbi wittness's
and then searched for all files and most of the time you look for hidden files and photos ,you check how full the hard drive is and find out why

Patty, My heart goes out to you and your family for what you have to face. I pray for your brother and I pray that the judge will see the good in Michael that I know he has. God will be with you and your family to help you except and move forward during the times to come. Michael will get through this, with Gods help and the love and support from friends and family. I feel that he will be a stronger person and he will overcome what ever is put in front of him.
From our phone conversations, You and I both know there is a plan set in front of us all, Jonathan and Michael are walking the path that God has put before them. I feel that they both will make it through this test and have a stronger faith in God.
There are people in this world that need to find the love of God, they need to let go of the bitterness, anger or what ever is consuming them and get on with their lives. I will say a prayer for these people, they may need to read in John 8: and Matt 7: maybe this will help them to find their way back to God.
I know you are a strong person; you may have to reach out to those who are weak and give them the strength to make it passed this. I am able to live without Jonathan in my life by helping others, this makes me feel I have a purpose and this maybe the plan God has for me.
I ask everyone to please pray for this family, that they may find peace and that the sentencing of Michael will be lenient.
Michael, do not give up hope and remember that God is always with you.

And in response to "traveler not one", I will add, that the FBI has forensic specialists, who can find every search, keywords, etc. that was ever done on a computer. So,....the rest of the story? Guilty.

And just for the record, I am not singling out these particular individuals, there are thousands, hundreds of thousands more of these creeps worldwide, just so happens, Gandy is in my back yard.

Hi Lisa, First of all, let me say how very sorry I am for all of you. I am going through the same thing with my son. For those of you who are wondering how "they" find those mistakenly clicking on or being curious "they" put it there. That is why "they" don't go after the ones that you would wonder put it there to begin with. They are special task forces to catch those that click on it. They are mostly in peer to peer sites. My son has NEVER been in trouble and with the military for 12 years while working a full time job. My son thought he was being raided for downloading music. Yes he did click on a file that he should not have and it messed up his computer. With his many military commendations and high security clearance, "they" who he fought so hard to protect have sentenced him to 41 months in a federal prison. We went to his sentencing hearing in April being led to believe he was getting probation, when I saw the martials behind us I knew that was not going to be the case. His fiance, family and friends are all behind him but "they" are not going to make it easy when he gets out. To make matters worse, they sent him to Boston and we live in Pittsburgh PA. I wish there was a way that we could talk but not sure how to do it anonymously here. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

After reading more I see questions from Patty. If your brother is going through federal, they say morgantown, but the fact of the matter is that SO's can not go to a camp. They go to a medical facility to keep them separated and keep from having problems in the facilities. Like I said, my son is all the way in Boston now and not handling the distance well. From what I have learned, Federal institutions are far better than state, except for the camps. Where they go depends on the security level they are put in.
You are in my thoughts and prayers too. I live in Pittsburgh as well.

RAK- I pray for you and your family, that you many some how find peace and be able to except what has been put in front of you to face. If someone has not gone through this them selves there is no way to know the pain and suffering that not only your son is going through but also what your whole family is enduring. I am living with the same fear that you have in the return of your son. This is not a kind world and I pray that there will be true Christian people that will love and forgive as God as done.

Being able to reach out to other with some of the same problem has been a great help to me. By talking to Patty I can see that she is a good person and loves her brother very much. Patty will never know how much her words and prayer has helped me to move forward in life and I hope that somehow I have helped her in return. I continue to pray for Patty’s family and to give strength to Michael for I know that his family needs to be assured that there are good people in this world.

I hope that one day I might be able to speak to you about your son and that we can help each other in some way. If you can think of anything you could say, other dates or names that might help me to find you, please answer me back.

Hi Lisa and RAK...
Lisa, sorry I haven't called.... well, he got the letter in June that he is to self report next week to a federal prison 1 hour away from pittsburgh. The past 4 weeks have been okay because it was like nothing happened... now that time is getting close and this is our last few days with him "outside" it is very hard and sad. I am just crying all the time again knowing that this time he really is leaving... where as the court dates getting screwed up and then them letting him self report... it was an emotional rollercoaster... never knowing when that was the last hug!
RAK - what judge and lawyer did your son have? I am in Pittsburgh too! Not sure what SO means in your comment above??? He is going to low security with a camp there... not sure if he will be part of the camp or not yet...
I will keep checking here for more notes...

Patty, It was good to hear from you and to know you all are somewhat going well….
Jonathan has not been moved yet, we don’t know why but maybe they are just waiting to but him in the best place they can, we can only pray. Jonathan has done many unselfish acts while he waits to be moved. He has been tutoring some of the inmates for their GED, helping some who does not speak English to learn. He has been so strong through all this and we know if he can, we can. I am able to hear from Jonathan every night and he tell us what he has done through the day. This makes it a little better to know that he will be calling. I know exactly how you feel by the last hug…But remember there will come a time when you will have Michael back in your life and believe me when Jonathan come back to us I will make up for all the hugs we have missed. The last time we talked I told you to call when you could, I’ll just waited to hear from you, I do not want to intrude on your last days with Michael. I know the first few days after Jonathan left were the hardest, so be strong for Michael and keep your life together for your kids and your husband. Remember that this may not even be about Michael it may be that you are to help someone who needs a friend …Like me … we just cant see the entire plan before us.

Saturday, I spoke to a family that is in a similar predicament as ours. I told them that I would be praying for them and I hoped for the best, He would be sentenced sometime next week. I just told the family that I fully understood all they were going through. I also spoke to the mother; you could tell this was just about to get the best of her. I told her that I as a mother knew and felt her loss; I knew she is mad at the world and especially mad at God and in time…. I pray that she could know that God has not given up on them, that God has a plan for us all. I am not sure if it helped but it seemed that they were glad to know they were not alone.
