What a horrible accident. So sorry to hear about this accident. I am glad that this was not a Fatal Hit and Run accident like the one that killed Lawrence John Brun, 47 of Moss Point, Mississippi. Victoria Lumpert on October 21-2009 left the scene when she hit Mr. Brun and left him to die! How I hope the state of Mississippi will hold people responsible for driving a vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident. This woman of 57 years old was arrested the next day after a crimestoppers alert went out. Victoria Lumpert owns a hair salon by the name of Hair Tropics in Hattiesburg and is also a grandmother. This woman is not a young woman or a teenager and she knew that she hit a man! Victoria Lumpert has a wealthy husband and did not want to risk her farm (also owns the hair salon/land that it is own)that she owns and had her husband put his farm in her name. Of course he put it in a trust for her in her name but then what a nice life if she even serves a day in prison to then get out of prison to go to a nice ranch. Maybe that is what happens when you marry a man that is 20 years older than you.... Victoria Lumpert thought that no one saw the accident and that she could keep on driving while living her nice rich life while a man died on the side of the road. It will be interesting to see if this woman gets a slap on the hand because she can afford expensive lawyers while the victim can not enjoy cocktails as she can by her pool at her nice ranch. We can not forget that in the case of Victoria Lumpert they're is a victim named Lawrence John Brun, Jr. of Moss Point, Mississippi. A 47 year old man that she had no regard for his life. I guess she will say she hit a deer or thought she hit a bag of garbage. Oh this woman knows better and she does not have the best reputation. Will be interesting to find out where she had her cocktails before she hit Mr. Brun. It sure was not with her husband because he was at his ranch in Poplarville, MS. Where was Victoria (Vicky)Pierce Lumpert before 7:30 PM on Oct.22, 2010? Having her choice of an adult beverage??? Sure makes you wonder because why would you not stop? Then she has the disregard for the law to not report what happened and drives back to her hair salon to be arrested the next day. Killed a man and she has even been seen driving when her drivers license was revoked as part of her bond. I hope the state of Mississippi does the right thing and makes her serve time for taking a life without stopping to help Mr. Brun. We need tougher laws when a woman drives on home and does not stop at the scene of an accident. Now we mourn the loss of Mr. Brun and we pray for his family. PLEASE stop at the scene of an accident because this could have saved Mr. Brun's life. We will never know but you sure do not keep on driving and not try to help a person that you hit in your truck. Looks like if she thought she hit a deer she would have at least pulled over to see the damage done to her truck. I still believe alcohol was involved in this accident and why she kept on driving as fast as she could to her ranch in Poplarville, Mississippi.
