I am in the worse way needing to buy a FEMA trailer. I have been sick this past year with Parkinsons . Barely able to sit ,not able to put my shoes on or off, in a wheelchair I fly to Rochester to be with my girlfriend of almost 30 yrs. She was dying with 9 masses in her lungs. She died. When I got back home to my trailer here in Texas, my landlord told me I had to move the trailer and my things off his land. I had to sell my trailer and didnt make enough money to purchase anything else to live in.I was in WWII & Police

I've bid a couple of times on these campers, it's a waste of time. As soon as you hit enter to bid, mysteriously you get out bid in half a second. The site automatically enters a higher bid.

PLEASE STOP ASKING FOR TRAILERS, THE SALE HAS BEEN STOPPED BY FEDERAL AUTHORITIES SINCE JULY 07. FEMA DOES NOT SELL TRAILERS ANYMORE DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF A CERTAIN CHEMICAL IN ALL TRAILERS RENDERING THE OCCUPANTS SICK. SAME FOR GSA. PLEASE WAIT FOR UPDATES.

You are wrong, there are currently several hundred up for auction in frostburg, MD. All campers were made with the same chemicals idiot! it's only a POTENTIAL problem if you live in one long term. you can find them on gsaauctions.gov

You Cannot buy a FEMA trailer to live in!
From the GSA Auction site:
*****TRAVEL TRAILER PURCHASERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A BUYER'S CERTIFICATE ACKNOWLEDGING THAT A PURCHASED TRAVEL TRAILER IS NOT TO BE USED AS HOUSING AND WILL NOT BE RE-SOLD AS HOUSING. TRAVEL TRAILERS ARE RECREATIONAL VEHICLES WHICH ARE NOT MANUFACTURED TO FEDERAL HOUSING STANDARDS. IN ADDITION, PRIOR TO SALE, FEMA WILL PLACE A CLEARLY-VISIBLE DECAL "NOT TO BE USED FOR HOUSING" ON THE DOOR WINDOW OF EACH TRAVEL TRAILER.

I have purchased two trailer so far from FEMA. Let me tell you. What an adventure!!!
Whenever you look at the trailers on the web site, they are nice and low. The day of the bid, that number doubles, everybody bids last seconds, it goes up and up!
If you get to be the lucky winner, you'll soon find out you bid too high. Once you pick-up the trailer, you also find out it is dirty and filthy. Damages explained on the web page are the start of your problems, once yo pick-it up, you soon find that there is more damages than described. I know I've burned myself...twice. You can tell whoever that they have forgotten to include the damages on the web page, They don't care, you bought it and then show you the text: REPAIRS REQUIRED/OTHER PARTS MAY BE BROKEN OR MISSING FROM WHAT IS LISTED IN THE DESCRIPTION/ALL LENGTH MEASUREMENTS INCLUDE THE TONGUE/ADDITIONAL DEFICIENCIES ARE UNKNOWN
THE CONDITION OF THE PROPERTY IS NOT WARRANTED.
That covers them from any future complaints or lawsuits. A lot of people who lived in them were pigs, it wasn't theirs and they didn't care.
On both trailers that I purchased, I bid on what they say on that web page, but once you pick-up, you soon find out taht items are missing, holes in doors, damages on the aluminium outside, paint on the frame and tongue. Things they simply don't care to write. Ah, also, most of them don't care about testing the electrical side of the trailer (slides, A/C, heat....) My heat didn't work. I got told we don't test these things......
One good idea for you, you wanna bid. Be down there, physically inspect the trailer yourself. It will be worth all your pennies.
Hope this helps everybody to understand what they are getting themselve into. A big bunch of surprises that could cost you thousands.
This was my last purchase...

SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU DON"T WANT ANYBODY ELSE BIDDING. The trailers have never been lived in.

Some of the trailers have not been lived in but alot of them have and I have seen them first hand. They are posting better pictures of the traielrs that are being sold. Do the smart thing, inspect what you are buying before you buy it. Have you ever bought anything before sight unseen that wasn't new? EXACTLY be smart

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Cancer

You could struggle to display your feelings and emotions at the moment. Being so sensitive, the smallest things could hurt your feelings, but no one else is likely to realise since you retreat into your shell at these times. This will not be a conscious decision, and you'll feel frustrated at your inability to explain the hurt you suffer.
