What a crock of bullshit. Seems like tournament directors don't want that boat to prosper. I don't know NC fishing laws but it appears that the fish was caught by a legally licensed angler who broke no rules, therefore the prize money should be his. The only winners of this tournament will be the lawyers after about 2 years of litigation they will be lucky to walk away with half of the money. Pay up and let it go.

I think that Mr. Tomossan should talk publicly all he can about this decision. Lets see how many boats will show up next year at 17 grand entry fee. This decision was truly horrendous, seeing that the offending party was not the angler nor the owner of the boat. The hired hand should pay the maximum fine allowed and the boat should be declared the winner period/ If this does not happen this tournament should be totally boycotted year. Any boat captain in that competition would agree, even the declared winner. Right is right....make them pay next year captains.

It is bullshit as long as the guy who caught the fish is legal he won in my book, maybe look into who the prize goes to ,probably a friend of 1 of the Committee,or somebody down the line involved. always is the case.Man up the guy won fair and square u sissy's.
