That is why you should take great care and prepare for the possibility of a hard hit by hurricane Irene. Listen to the emergency management officials when they tell you to evacuate. At the same time you should demand that your emergency officials be very pro-active in their preparation and planning.
I live 100 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and hurricane Rita literally changed my life for a while. My property will never be the same.

Hurricane? What hurricane?
Republicans don't believe in hurricanes.
Therefore, hurricanes don't exist.

You dipshit, what does politics have to do with people trying to prepare for a hurricane?
I'm a Democrat and I still think you are a dipshit.

Typical bitter leftist lunatic. I'm a Democrat. I wish people like you would shut the hell up with that stupidity. You are an embarrassment.

The people on the Outer Banks are facing the loss of their home. And, you say this. How utterly pathetic.

I hope and pray the storm passes over and everyone remains safe. My thoughts are with the people on the OBX and east coast.
