Lots of dinero for something that sounds so underwhelming. Citizens from those counties paying taxes to fund this project should get at least one free pass a year to visit any of this.

that's right. some of the poorest people in the entire country (sierra county nm)are paying taxes so a company from ABQ can charge $59 a seat to "visit our facility" It is OUTRAGEOUS. Next thing you know they will charge $59 to walk onto the ABQ airport facility.

While I'd like to say they will never see a thin copper plated penny of my money, they already have as I calculated that I paid $127.41 to the spaceport due to my increase in sales taxes since the project started.

And, now that Martinez signed the liability bill passengers are really in for trouble because Virgin Galactic has a civilian craft which is not subject to strict NASA standards for safety - and to specifically have backup safeguards if something catastrophic happens in space (or on the way up or down).

Branson's ships/crafts do NOT have:
- reaction control system
- stabilization system
- cabin pressurization system
- ejection seats
- crew required to wear pressurized suits

And, they boost to go up to 55,000 ft. for how long? Maybe 10 minutes.

I'd feel real fine ejecting at 55k+ feet ( I wouldn't feel a thing as I'd be dead within 2 minutes), you don't seem to know a whole lot about sub orbital flying if this is the best you can come up with

Branson is putting his family on the first flight, you think he's _that_ crazy?

Keep in mind, some people will do anything for that next "high"

80,000 feet makes you an "astronaut" according to accepted guidelines, so it's an inexpensive price of admission to the club, and without the risk of riding on top of a half million gallons of fuel in a three seat capsule.

Of course when a bit of the old sputnik collides with WhiteKnight II, the real fireworks will begin
