And so Jury selection begins! At every breakfast table. Around every cup of coffee. At every water cooler.

We definitely need to reinstate the death penality in NM. Totally stupid pieces of alleged humans like these four need to be permanently eliminated from the gene pool. We cannot allow some like this to reproduce.

You'd better believe it, and I want to be first in line.

He must have had a LOT of extra room. I mean how does one hide a rifle in his pants? I'm sure the social workers are lining up to rehabilitate these vermin and turm them loose amongst us again. How many times have they been arrested before?

Unfortunately for these boys, and I don't know if it is unfortunate, they will probably be represented by The Public Defenders Office. Attorneys so overwhelmed by their case load, that sometimes they don't even look at the case file, until the day before the trial.

so now will Mr Pena's family look for revenge, and kill some other innocent person?!it is sad what happend to Jerry, it is more sad what happend to Mr Pena. but what is truly sad is these young men thought it was an honorable thing to do. when it is clear they had no idea what honor is.we can blame video games, music, and culture; but the fact is we need to blame them. it was planned, organized and executed. the same course of action should be done to them. they can not be saved anymore than Jerry or Mr Pena.

Its really sad that our tax money is going to shelter punks in the making. I really think that if you have any gang relation that you should not be allowed public housing.

Be expecting more stupidity around Las Cruces until the LCPD and DASO do their job and make our streets safer by catching these criminals who started it.

Fools rush in where WISEMEN fear to tread. They chose their fate long before any of this senslessness started. They dropped out of school and are members of a GRAFFITTI Tagging crew. They were looking for some prison time and now that's just what they will get.

If you rent a house or trailer or apartment..I suggest you look into who lived there before you or what kind of criminal activity was going on in your home before your lease. This just shows you that none of us are safe in our own homes when it comes to stupid hateful gangbangers who dont have a clue how to handle tragedy.

Haven't seen the baggie pants some of these kids wear? I once saw a demonstration where a 16 year old wearing these type of baggie pants was able to hide over 12 different weapons in them, everything from a knife to a shotgun all at the same time.

You are so right, if the parents would have kept their kids home in the first place, none of this would have happened. what parent in their right mind lets their teenagers stay out til 3 AM? If this football player is so honorable and a good student, should he be at home at 3AM? come on really! parents need to be more strict on thier children. An innocent man was killed due to all of these parents that cant keep their kids in control.

I've always asserted that a little small arms training would allow the gang problem to take care of itself. Apparently, they'll need some help with target recognition too.

Well, it looks like they did a little more than just scare their victim. Hopefully, they'll spend the rest of their lives being scared of their cellmate - you know the one with the knuckles that drag named Spike.
