How does NMSU know they have the best person for the job...and we will never know, because the university's process was not followed. The regents fold to the will of Gary once again.

This whole issue about Provost is nonsense. No such person is needed and none should be hired. The origin of the term has to do with prisons, which makes it a joke, and it is indeed a joke. I was happy about the choice of a new president of NMSU, but I no longer am. Ugh, Garrey, please wake up and do your new job. The Regents should reject it, but won't. Ugh, ugh, and ugh.
