If you're all so compassionate, I'd like to ask if you'd send me some money to pay for my health care and to load up my grocery cart every week. I mean, I'm capable of educating myself and capable of working...but why should I if there is so much compassion around? Would it help if I popped out a kid or two? Maybe that would make you even more compassionate!

I'm thinking about $1,000 a month should do it. If anyone's feeling compassionate, let me know and we can arrange for the transfer of funds. Thanks.

I thought having sex with an underage child in the US was illegal. Why do these illegals get away with it in our country? This 18 yr. old sperm donor should be charged with rape.

Have you people forgotten one detail? A BABY DIED! THAT BABY IS INNOCENT! That baby did not deserve to die! The baby should never pay the price for what the parents did or didn't do!

I totally agree with Joe.

You people are despicable!

Johnny looks a little sullen.

Frame that picture. It's the best argument that can be made for enacting legislation to allow for free contraception. Kids like this have no business having more dependent children. The Marmolejo family tree probably resembles a dried bristle cone pine tree, when it comes to notable accomplishments.

When an adult family member says "we were all excited about the baby" regarding a 14-year-old child and her punky hoodlum boyfriend who impregnated her, one cannot help but feel absolute despair and hopelessness about the future of this country and our rapidly diminishing quality of life. We are witnessing a quickly evolving transition to Third World status.

Luke, when you die, I hope you can explain to God this comment. If there was any justice in this world, you would be killed by a drunk driver for that comment!
A bit harsh, but I understand. Whatever happened to "Whatever you do to the least of my breathren, you have done unto me?"

this will probably be marked as spam, but what if it were your children? What if it was your child?

You people are sick!

As callous as it sounds, Luke and Bob have a valid point. Not so much as 'one less welfare family to care for', but these two died because of their behavior. Sneaking out of the house with your big brothers ID with your 14 year old pregnant girlfriend? Do you suppose he had the ID to attempt to qualify as an adult to receive medical services for his unborn baby? What would qualify the PREGNANT 14 year old as a conscientious parent to be out partying with this 18 year old? What did their parents teach them about responsible behavior, not just late night antics, but teen pregnancy, not to mention statutory rape? These two created a very dangerous situation for everyone who lives along highway 28...what if YOUR mother or child were on the highway when this idiot comes careening towards them at over 100 mph. Who should have taught him not to endanger not only his family, but the entire community? THEIR PARENTS!!

This is a generational cycle of poor parenting that is so recognizable, perhaps only to those outside the family, that it spawns comments like those made by Luke and Bob. True compassion would entail making these poor excuses for parents take control of, and responsibility for , their children and themselves, then the entire community would be spared situations like this. My condolences to the families with one piece of advice...your kids learn life behaviors from YOU...DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN.

You would think that the state should have arrested this guy for statutory rape. Her stupid parents should of press charges on him!!!!! The parents probably wanted the welfare check so they didn't

I'm appauled at the children that half or your parents raised. It's unidentified on how the crash happend, 100mph, yeah maybe, 2 people died, and an UNBORN child. so many of you are so quick to judge, what about their families, they have to live with it the rest of their lives. Show some compassion. what if it was your younger brother or sister, or your unborn cousin. 14 or 40, welfare or not, they lost their lives, it's people like many of you that take life for granted.

My sorrow and prayers for the family, as for all you talking crap, you have a lot to learn, life isn't a game, it's something that should be cherished.

There's alot of you people on this forum that disgust me. Your comments are ill intended, and seem to be posted for your own pleasure.

Instead of complaining and assuming things, you should go out and turn your hate into something positive. Go out and make a difference instead of being the source ignorance and hate.

And what does that accomplish or solve? Do you truly, honestly mean that or does it just sound good?

Sure it's sad that 2 young people died, but they certainly were not innocent. Just stupid.

You're supporting the stupid with your compassion. Go watch Idiocracy and tell me our society is not hurtling in that direction at a rapid speed.

Sick, Maybe you should get a life... you are jaded, immoral, and plain inhumane. In fact you are probably drunk as most in Continental Divide, NM are! Get over yourself and see the story for what it is... three deaths!
