Rest in Peace Baby Brianna. The only comfort I have when I heard your story is knowing that you are now safe in Heaven and your parents and uncle are put away for the heinous crime they have committed.

Life with the possibilty if parole. That's why we're leaving this state...as a retired police officer, I know for a fact that there is very little deterent to crime in this place. We're moving to a place where "people" like Brianna's "family" and common street thugs like those who beat a security guard to death are executed. Good luck, good ridence oh and thanks for the pension.

They are pure evil!! Only the devils work. To do that to an innocent baby? We need to fight for the death penalty for people like them. I cried just seeing the pictures, how could the grandma see it in real life and not do anything. A mother? How could a mother do that to her child. i will pray everyday that they will get what is coming to them and they will soon be judged for the devils that they are!!

and may your light shine on her forever.

How do you rape a 6 month old child without being fully aware of what you are doing? How as a father and uncle commit this crime without any guilt to what they are doing? How does a mother bite and abuse her own child that she carried for 9 months? How do family members not consider that a baby cannot talk, or run, is totaly helpless while suffering great pain? How can anyone, anyone stand by and let this be a normal way to behave? The parents and uncle should undergo treatment, for it is obvious they are very, very sick people. No common sense at all. And the grandmother? I am shocked at her denial. Who was she protecting? It is obvious she did not consider this gift from God as one she should be protecting, a helpless baby. Parents had no where to turn? Is this not where the family comes in? There are agencies, or better yet, leave the baby at a hospital. I'm sorry, there is absoultly no excuse, none at all and they should be punished, ALL of them to the max. Had this happened to an adult, the abuser(s) would have faced a much harsher sentence. Why is a baby any different. I wonder how they treat animals, for they also cannot speak, or defend themselves. I can't stop crying.

Janet, you're right! The parents have absolutely no excuse for what they did. I can only imagine how many people would have been willing to take the baby girl if they didn't want her. I would have taken her, people in the community would have taken her in!! Even if they left the baby on a doorstep with a note would have been better than what they put her through!! Freakin psyco's. may the lord judge them well!!!
Rest in Peace Baby Girl!! I hope that You know that you are loved.. by Us!!

This is heart wrenching!!! I can't even sleep, and all I've done is cry. I am dissapointed with everyone. Our laws are to lax, and we continue to let people get away with this. We should take their lives and let people know that as a community we will not tolerate this. Brianna was born to be abused, she never had a voice. I will never ever forget this. I cannot believe her so-called grandmthr& uncle only served 30days. The sentencing was absurd. We need to make these things(people) worse than animals suffer. They killed a baby in the most brutal way, and they all need to pay!!!!!And no not just anyone should be able to have children. This is all just crazy. Child abusers should be scared and their not. Our laws are not strict enough. Why?!!!!

Thank you KRQE for not letting this go. Can something be done to "cage" and throw away the keys on that grandmother and uncle? Someone please include those relatives who have desecrated Brianna's grave. Stoning will do nicely.

Typical of New mexico--three square meals a day, access to gym, library, Pell grants. All of this "punishment" for something animals would never do. I am embarassed by this state--where I live, and its backcountry, uneducated, unsophisticated, and unevolved behavior.

It is so sad, when adults do such horrific things to one so little and helpless. What can be the thrill of rapeing a baby and throwing her into the air, just to let her fall to the floor!! I really hope they never get out of prison and that they are suffering greatly while there. The grandmother and uncle also need counseling and should be shunned by those in their community.

"Baby Brianna is now locked up in a cage built around her grave by her family to keep the community who loved her so much out. It is a mess, unkempt and full of trash."

The cage built around Brianna is NOT unkempt and full of trash... THAT IS A LIE!! My daughter is burried a few graves down from her and we visit every other week and we clean the area, including all of the other children's graves. I still think that cage SHOULD NOT be there, however, that statement is completely false! I would NEVER ALLOW that area to become ugly and unkept.

I have cried for years over the abuse and torment that this sweet baby went through. I know that she is in Heaven with her Lord Jesus. Hell-fire and damnation to ALL who did this to her and to those who knew that this was going on. Rest sweet baby Brianna.

I thought this was a very good eye opener to the younger generation as you spoke of.

I always keep my eyes open for child abuse and am not afraid to report it.

The torture that that child endured is enough to make me sick. The death penalty should be considered for any child molester and child killer. They do not deserve to be here. Maybe then we will see a decline in all this horrible murders taking place. I believe the laws are to leient and if nothing is done it will get worse. May that sweet child be with our God in heaven and resting in peace.

I can't believe what I just read my heart breaks and I can't stop crying, how could someone do such a hateful thing to such a precious angel. These sick people should get the death penalty, how can we as part of the community let them be released. I know God will seek judgement on them and allow Briannas soul to ever be at peace. May god bless you baby girl. and to the family and the parents may God Damn you.!!!
