"The group said it brings immigrants "out of the shadows" so they can buy auto insurance, drive to their jobs and pay their taxes."

30% of drivers in New Mexico are uninsured. Seems the illegals like to stay in the shadows when they have to pay for insurance as well as taxes. How many illegal aliens with driver's licenses are deported when they are caught without insurance?

Undoubtably, when the current law is rescinded the undocumented will stop driving their own cars and taxi to their jobs in the chili fields.

These groups are not representative of the majority of New Mexicans and not even close to representing the majority of Hispanics...most of whom are against illegal immigrants being in our state.

To add insult to injury, they even bus in groups from El Paso, TX to picket and protest. This is ridiculous.

Gov. Martinez is doing what she was elected to do: To take our state back from the fraud being committed by these illegal aliens, to cease enabling them, to get our state back on track and heading in the right direction to get us out of the economic distress that Richardson led us into with his frivolous spending and catering to illegals.

Keep giving it all you've got Susana!!!

Your xenophobic excess has been duly noted. LOL!
If you knew the definition of xenophobic or me for that matter, then you would know that it doesn't apply to me. I guess it makes you feel superior in your self-righteousness to make assumptions, no matter how wrong, about other. Good thing for me that I don't concern myself with people's opinions, especially when they pull them out of their arse and are without merit. Better luck next time at trying to make a relevant comment, as this was a FAIL.

I do know the definition of xenophobic. Any individual within a certain minority group is NOT exempt from engaging in behavior that qualifies as such. What?
Please... keep up that excessive number of posts which drip with self-righteous indignation and arrogance. They provide adequate evidence of my assertions. LOL!

Governor Susana Martinez is only an American citizen because illegal immigrants gave birth to one of her parents.

The TorC character seems to be intent on trolling me...not much else. In fact, I suspect that is who is running around on another forum using the moniker "liar liar" to do so too. As this character "durablebrad", "liar liar" is more intent on trolling & trying to make claims about my ethnicity & theological views that are erroneous as well as ignorant.

I don't give these types much credence. I usually only indulge them with 1 to 3 comments & then let them be. They're typically not worth the time much less any logical discussion, as they seem incapable of addressing the issue/topic but prefer to get off on tangents (such as personal attacks or erroneous assumptions).

I'll break it down for you, Dee Dee Dee:

1.) Governor Martinez grandparents committed fraud by entering the state illegally. They were "illegal aliens."

2.) Governor Martinez is actually from El Paso, Texas.

3.) Governor Martinez wants to end the current license policy out of concern that foreign nationals from countries other than Mexico will illegally obtain a driver's license in our state.

Therefore, the bombastic diatribe above is merely an attempt to portray Governor Martinez as an activist against undocumented immigrants. This may serve the purposes of the poster, but it is not an accurate portrayal of the situation.

Your initial commentary on this thread was nothing more than trying to label me as something I'm not. Had this idiocy of yours directed at Dee Dee Dee, yet is in reply to my comment, been your first comment, I wouldn't see you as the troll that you showed yourself to be; however, since you've chosen to get on topic...I'll humor you by responding.

You stated: "1.) Governor Martinez grandparents committed fraud by entering the state illegally. They were "illegal aliens.""

*This has no bearing on the issue at hand and is irrelevant. You & many others assume rather than ask if her grandparents ever took advantage of previous amnesty programs. In either case, it has no bearing to the Governor's determination to eliminate NM as a state that enables ILLEGALS in their pursuit of obtaining drivers licenses fraudulently or US citizens from obtaining them fraudulently who reside in other states & NOT in NM.

You stated: "2.) Governor Martinez is actually from El Paso, Texas."

*Again, this has no bearing on the Governor's actions in trying to eliminate the current Richardson enacted legislation granting ILLEGALS a NM driver's license. Granted, she was born in El Paso, TX; however, she's been a resident of the state of NM for many many years. Had that not been the case, she wouldn't have been able to run for her current position of Governor of NM.

You stated: "3.) Governor Martinez wants to end the current license policy out of concern that foreign nationals from countries other than Mexico will illegally obtain a driver's license in our state."

*You stand corrected on this one: It's not just that Governor Martinez wants to end the current license policy due to foreign nationals from all countries being able to obtain a driver's license; you've omitted that she doesn't want any resident of the US being able to obtain a NM fraudulently that do not reside in NM.

Furthermore, I've always acknowledged why Gov. Martinez is pursuing this matter but have done so far more accurately than you. No immigrant (legal or ILLEGAL) or any non-NM resident should be eligible to hold a NM driver's license as many do now. It opens the door to various acts of fraud being committed (to include sending these driver's licenses across the border to enable other illegals to come here under the guise of legitimacy) and it poses a national security threat.

So your closing, "Therefore, the bombastic diatribe above is merely an attempt to portray Governor Martinez as an activist against undocumented immigrants. This may serve the purposes of the poster, but it is not an accurate portrayal of the situation." is nothing more than your continued ignorance in thinking you know what my intentions are or have been. Your erroneous assumptions amount to nothing more than your flawed perceptions and more of your erroneous speculations and unnecessary drivel.

To the contrary, unlike you I accept full responsibility for all my words (providing they are my actual words) and my actions. You on the other had try to project and deflect...worse is that you fail to acknowledge that your "points" were irrelevant and contributed nothing to the discussion. It was merely your attempt to try to make me appear as what you try to portray me as, rather than who I actually am. No surprise though. So how many names does this make for you using now to further troll me? I don't expect an answer, much less an honest answer. You're clearly incapable of being honest. Instead you resort to assumptions, speculations, and deceit.

You really are self-abosrbed if you think that I'm "following" you on any other thread. Delusions of self-importance appear to be directly linked to the multiple thousands of posts that some people accumulate in their attempts to dominate the internet.LOL!

It's amazing how all of the abusive comments come from people like yourself who spend so-o-o-o-oo much time on this site that you add an average of 11 posts... every... single... day.

Please notice that I don't engage in name calling or request that you find another hobby, or even question your intellectual merits. See? Now that is how one woould properly conduct themselves in a curteous and respectful conversation. HAVE A GREAT DAY! LOL!
