Politicians are full of BS!!

While Johnson didn't do a bad job being governor, considering he left with a surplus budget and leaner government unlike Richardson who quadrupled the budget and tripled the size of government, I can't see him as President. He would be as polarizing as Palin or Bachmann. You either love them or hate them, very little in between.

He hasn't got a chance with the right-wingnuts, but it sure would mix things up a bit. Bachmann Huckleberry, The Winking Wonder Woman from Wisilla, and Trump would make him look brilliant and like a constitutional scholar!

The anti-abortion cultists won't even let him even get to the debate stage. Lucky for him, every since Raygun Ronny & Old Man McCain being divorced is no longer a handicap for the righteous religious right faction.

Being for a sane pot policy and immigration policy, makes him as guano del palo loco as Ron Paul to the Repug hierarchy and most importantly the oligarchy.

Johnson's candidacy is hardly a mixed bag; it's a flat-out bad idea. Among, other points, the last thing we need is another executive who cannot work with a legislature. We had that with Johnson, Richardson, and now Martinez; and the lack of cooperation has really harmed the state.

"perhaps he just wants some face time on the primary dais in order to get his marijuana message out?"

Reducing his entire candidacy to the issue of marijuana legalization is ridiculous. Such lack of analysis reinforces everyone's view of how trashy and shallow the Sun News is.

1) Martinez hasnt been in office long enough to pass judgment on anything; 2) Richardson used the legislature as a pawn, and burned through all our money; 3) Johnson has a proven track record of limiting government...good.

From 1994 to 2002, Garry Johnson collected a salary as governor of New Mexico while doing absolutely nothing because he said he didn't believe the government should do anything. So why does he want to be president? He must be really desperate for money.

Every time a child dies in Juarez, some of the blood gets on the hands of douche bags who write opinion articles like this one.

Like Marijuana, alcohol is very bad. It screws up people's lives and kills people all over the roads. It used to be illegal but we found out the hard way that making a substance illegal does nothing to solve the social problems and does everything to create massive criminal problems. You had people like Al Capone shooting at each other in the street with Tommy guns, fighting over distribution rights.

Fast forward to today, Coors and Bud Light sit peacefully next to each other on the shelf down at Wal-Mart and when the guys in the beer trucks see each other on the road they wave at each other.

Most people I know reluctantly admit that legalization is the answer, but usually say something about how nobody will vote for it in the next breath. Everybody thinks nobody else supports it because irresponsible news outlets like this one continue the prohibitionist myth.

This same opinion story has been printed on all the big corporate newspapers in the region. Screw these corporate whores and their opinion. Someday they'll burn in hell for all the people who died because of their words.

Johnson is at least as qualified as Bachman and Palin and Huckabee, and not nearly as nutty crazy as any of the three. He has the courage to speak up about some issues, which will sink him as a candidate. One must be wishy-washy, sup at table of tea partiers, and bend with the polls, you know.
