So your argument for NOT wearing a helmet is that wearing one while potentially saving your life seems to have an incredibly small chance of also making you a quadraplegic?
By that thinking you should make sure that your kids do NOT buckle their seatbelts in the car MLE,...as those seatbelts have on occasion cost someone their life. You are a nurse? Do you tell someone not to take their medication because a small sampling of people have had a side effect? I am trying to figure out if you are dumb or just evil.
Where did I state that I recommend that no one should wear a helmet? I didn't. You dont make any sense and honestly, I dont care what you are trying to figure out about me. You just like to make things up and twist things. I dont need to try to figure out anything about you except you are just stupid with no common sense.

Oh yeah, turn around with what I wrote. The person who does that cant deal with being talked shit back to. Like I said he can save both nuts for his dog. remember, he said he would give his left nut if the driver is charged. I was just wondering if it was going to be on TV for all to see, IF he has a left nut, otherwise he is half (p)ussy.
the truth only please

The problem is a bike cannot do all that much on a left turn in front of you, when you are too close or going too fast.
The person at fault is the truck driver for not yielding.
I agree! It seems that pickups always drive too close especially when slowing down for a red light.

It's not always the case where the motorcyclist is innocent. I've personally witnessed a motorcycle hit a truck on the Loving highway and it was the motorcyclists fault! If you're on a motorcycle, don't weave in and out of traffic, pay attention like all drivers should and wear a helmet. It's sad that he was killed, but he could have died from a car crash too, so it's irrelevant if he was riding a motorcycle or not isn't it?

You quote LOGIC and Intelligence bikergurl, yeeessss, it's not about 'IF' you have an accident, it's about 'WHEN' you do.

Agree in this case the helment probably would not make the difference and the driver of the PU is probably at fault.

On another note:

Co worker just going to the store down the street on a weekend a year ago.

No helment as he was just going a short distance from his house.

Hit a phone pedistal in the parking lot of the store and went over the handle bars.

Hit ground head first. Taken to hospital and declared dead at the emergency room. Brain trama cause of death.

Left 18 year old daughter behind to wonder about what would happen if he had worn the helmet. She wore her's when she rode.

We have a new term for motorcycle riders not wanting to warn helmets around here now.

I don't think the government should regulate it for adults as the use(or lack thereof) doesn't impact anyone else who should be directly involved in an accident.

I resspect those that have decided for themselves that they go lidless.

HOWEVER, after 32 years and a couple hundred thousand miles under my belt no WAY would *I* ever ride without a full face lid and road rash protection, or take a pillion without protection, even on the hottest days.

Trust me, having basically your entire right side one big scab for months is no fun, especially if you are involved in contact sports like I was.

If your helmet selections are impairing your road vision, you are trying on the incorrect helmets.
Praying for you

This got me thinking about her. What hppened to the man who killed her? was he ever charged with a crime? I think I remember reading he was intoxicated ?

I don't understand how people get away with things in this town?

do they think because he was injured that is enough punishment???

no man KILLED her, it was a terrible tragedy that sometimes happens, the family and friends (on both sides including me) of this man and Lila have suffered through this tragedy, no toxoligy report was ever made public, it is all speculation just like this entire town, all up in other peoples business, I think we should be more worried about if and when the CPD can find the person(s) responsible for dismembering that old man.
