Mail received that is not yours

When you receive mail that is not yours, either return it to the postman or walk across the street and give it to your neighbor. I had a neighbor who received a package of mine from UPS who "did not want to get involved." Another neighbor told me he had the package. It was too much effort for him to walk across the street and give it to me. Same goes for USPS. The mailman for some reason routinely transposes numbers (go figure--and still employed), and my mail goes elsewhere.
My disability insurance premium bill was apparently delivered somehwere else (I have not missed a payment in 13 years) and now my policy has been cancelled. I was too busy to notice that I had not received the bill. Otherwise, I would have called the insurance company. That was what I had to do when I did not receive my car registration from the MVD up in Santa Fe. I knew I should have had it and when it was due, but had not received it. Thanks neighbors. You are stellar. There is no place like New Mexico.

What a shame. Why would the neighbor not contact UPS to have it corrected but share the information with your other neighbor? The neighbor should not have accepted it in your absence.
Just leaving mis-delivered USPS items in your mailbox with the flag up will alert the mailman to redeliver to the correct address.
The good people at the post office know who the slackers are at work, but that union has their jobs so secure, we all suffer.
