I guess those six senators aren't really into winning elections, are they? Because the voters are not going to forget this one.

They might have a strong hold in their respective districts.

They could also be misreading the views of their constituency.

What about all those Representatives that killed THREE bills like this one? It seems that those six could have killed it in commitee like the reps in the house did, but didnt. They FORWARDED the bill and didnt kill it.
So you have a beef with a committee that approved the bill but none with the committees and representatives that have already killed the three previous bills?
You dont have a clue as to how a bill becomes law do you?
I have a beef with all of our government representatives! The bills become laws behind closed doors! They have their own agenda and it's not the best interest of the AMERICAN people!!!! Shame on them! It's WRONG to tell us what's in the bill when they are through tweeking it!! These people work for US, what part of that is not understandable?

And you didn't bother to read the FIRST LINE of the article, did you? Reshaped means reshaped, not forwarded. Given the unpopularity of driver's licenses for illegals, I think reshaping was a BAD idea. And YES, I know how a bill becomes law. Given your inability to distinguish between "reshaped" and "forwarded," I question your knowledge of how a bill becomes law.

You were fools of you really thought the democrats would take anything from the illegals. Get ready to need a passport to go anywhere.

You may be in the dark but that is your choice. All bills are heard in committee, tracked, and made public daily. All committees are open to the public as well as the house and senate floor. All senators have phone niumbers and e-mail and added staff to hear this input throughout session. There is no mystery here, just the complete absence of any concerned public.
Hey, if you dont like it then write your own bill, show up for session, make a call or email, keep abreast of your bills of interest on the internet, or register to vote and then DO IT. I get so sick and tired of people shining about our system that dont participate. And then trying to say it is somehow unfair that they do what they do.
If you dont like the system get up off the couch and change it.
I've made those phone calls and written many e-mails! I definitely participate!!!!......usually upon deaf ears! I'm not on the couch....the public is concerned and taking action!

70 to 80% of New Mexicans want the state to stop issuing drivers' licenses to illegals. Those senators who choose to disrespect our wishes will be giving their opponents a campaign advantage in 2012.

typical liberal dumpocrap...but in NM it is understandable that they want to protect their own even when it is against the law. They should all be impeached and thrown out of office. They are a disgrace and may they one day have an event that could have been prevented by keeping illegals out of the country. Not wishing anything bad just saying you know.
