It was an OK event.
We stop at many such things with our RV. We didn't see much of interst, so we went on down the road.
Maybe there could be a committee who could help decide on how to plan the next event? Give it some content and maybe spruce up the area a little?
It just didn't seem to be too well planned and the variety of vendors left a lot to be desired.

I had a great time at the Silent Auction on Friday night and came home with some nice items that I outbid some people on. Went back the next day to look for certain items, which I found, paid a decent price for and was happy with it all. I've been going for a number of years and always enjoy myself. Sure, there were repeats of some items, but you get that at craft shows, trade fairs, etc. This area it's held in is part of the fairgrounds, not sure how you'd spruce it up any, it is what it is.

I guess you can't please everyone. Next year's Roundup is already being planned. There is a 'committee'. It's a gem & mineral show, what did you expect?? Tuscon?? Deming has been doing this for 46 years and it seems to be doing just fine. Helpful suggestions are always welcomed.

Who cares what he's wearing ? At least he's having a nice day out and sharing it with his daughter, can't get much better than that.

Feedback like this is telling us the County or whoever is in charge of the Fair Building need to work on cleaning it up for future events. Also goes for the SWNM Fair in October.

Last year when I went to the Deming Fair and I was wondering why the parking area next to the rides wasn't available for parking. Go and behold! What did I see? WEEDS, WEEDS, WEEDS!!!!!

Rockhound Roundup event is coming up soon in March. Hopefully some of the criticism and feedback will be taken as constructive to make this event better. Silver City holds their gem and mineral show in their old K-Mart building, (now their community building) and heard it was a huge success. Could be the location and appearance of the building makes a big difference. Time to think outside the box.
