In 2007 Richardson claimed that licensing illegals makes them get insurance. Ask any law enforcement officer is he has EVER seen an illegal with insurance. You can buy an insurance policy, get your driver's license and then cancel the policy, all in the same day. New Mexico has the 8th highest auto insurance rates in the country partly due to uninsured illegals. It's not working. People living here in defiance of our federal immigration law will disregard other laws as well. Time to replace some state senators.

How come we the voters can't vote on this issue. Can't we demand that it be put on the ballot so we the people can decide. As it is now the jerks in Santa Fe are wasting time and our money dragging their feet. This is exactly why New Mexico will remain a third world country. If your not legal you have no rights in our country. On the other hand we should make the process to enter our country from the South as easy as it is to enter from the North. It would appear that our country favors the Canadians more than the folks from Mexico. And by the way the Canadians are the cheapest most rudest bastards I have ever met in my life. They can drive here without insurance. They never leave a tip and have the filthiest mouth ever. So for a nickle I'll tell you how I really feel about our northern neighbors.
If your not legal, a visitor, or a space alien you should have to conform to all the rules and regulations that the locals have to abide by. And that is a proper ID, American Drivers License and proof of a social security number. Why can't we be licensed nationaly using the social security number as ID number? There are no two the same. That way all the states would be in compliance using the same set of rules. UNITED STATES

You have the 8th highest auto insurance rates in the country because you have shittiest drivers, without the mexican migrant insurance payments you would have the highest.
