Congrats to any elected office holder that puts their city/state/country's interest first. A great example that we should all be Americans first.

Unfortunately he was on the other side of the issue, wasn't he before switching when he saw the light?

Illegal aliens do not deserve a driver's license. They deserve nothing but to go home where they belong!

His stand against the driver's license law boils down to a fundamental point. Most people in New Mexico, he said, do not approve of licensing those who are in the country unlawfully.

Nunez is the only one of the state's 112 legislators who is an independent. He bolted from the Democratic Party in January 2011 after feuding openly with House Speaker Ben Lujan, D-Santa Fe.
He's right and he's seen the light. Most people here are against illegal aliens being allowed to receive driver's licenses. As he's seen, you don't cross Benny "The Jaw" Lujan, unless you plan to leave the Dem party. Fortunately for Nunez and NM, the jaw is ill and won't be in politics much longer.

The only thing an illegal alien border jumper deserves is detect, detain and deport within a max 2 weeks, period!
