National monument >> I fail to understand why you are so against setting aside these unique areas around Las Cruces.

Not the setting aside that is a issue - it is the groups that are fronting this fiasco, the limitations it places on economic growth, immigration
issues and of course access to public lands.

Kudos to Mark D'Antonio, Chris Barela and the District Judges for cleaning up the dirty, corrupt swamp left by Martinez and Orlando.
The boondoggles that originated back 2007 under the Martinez/Orlando regimes are behind them.
Look for 2014 to be an even more productive year dealing with new, incoming cases now that Orlando's 1000 leftover caseload is out of the way.

D'antonio and his crew are the laughing stocks of New Mexico - what a bunch of clowns.
The only way they reduced the case load is by declining prosecution,
plea bargaining everything down to nothing and letting people off.
Now that is justice.

The only ones laughing are Slevin and his attorney.......all the way to the bank!
A $15.5 million settlement caused by the former DA, Martinez, back in 2007, for letting Slevin sit 22 months without ever taking him to trial.
Not all the county taxpayers are on Lipitor and have lost their memory. This was seen in the last election when the Martinez appointed DA(Orlando) was voted out of office.
BTW, I don't see DA'ntonio or any of his crew in www.disintegratingjustice.com
I guess professionalism, integrity and accountability have been somewhat of a joke around the 3rd Judicial District Court before Mark and his crew showed up.

Until we see D'Antonio and his crew 'shipwrecked' like his previous two predecessors back in 2007, with a 43 day-old mistaken identity case, a 5 year-old witch hunt that ends in a Directed Verdict, or another $15.5 million Slevin boondoggle, the meaning of 'A Right to a Speedy Trial' and 'Liberty and Justice for all' can finally be seen being practiced in the 3rd Judicial District Court.

Considering some of his crew, were in fact, the defense attorneys, who defended the 5 year-old witch hunt that resulted in a Directed Verdict, your comment is almost laughable.
