I was going to post the same thing. I mean, really, what is it with Porkey's? Everyone knows about this place, everything that can possibly have been written about this place already has, let's move on. There was a Burger King by my house that shut down last year, the building got a makeover and is now an Arby's, I didn't see anything written anywhere about that.

Why does the pioneer press run a story on the front page every day about this grease pit?

You'd think this country wasn't about to go over the falls in debt and the world had no problems, the way they are reporting on this like there is no other news.

But, according to the 76 part documentary on the closing of Porky's that the Pioneer Press is currently running, they developed an onion ring formula that no one will ever duplicate (except that the guy who used to make them will be making them now at a different restaurant)

We all wait with bated, onion-smelling breath to hear the next blow-by-blow of the dismantling of a fast food restaurant...

Is each cement block ok? Did they get any big cracks they weren't expecting? Enough of this crap already. Nostalgia is taking a weird turn here.

Don't say that. Then the PP would issue a special edition.

Porky's wasn't about the food!! It was about the car enthusist sub-culture that gathered there. People won't miss the greasy onion rings they'll miss he burnouts and the gatherings on Saturday nights. That's why it's a big deal that it's moving. Understand now?

Wow, its friday...everyone calm down. It is interesting in the fact that they are moving the building. Ever watch a building move down a street? Maybe you could stay up late and watch from the side lines. I wonder how much it will cost to move it?

Thank the DFL next election for this by Voting them OUT!

First Ryback shuts their brand new restaurant down in NE Mpls. and now Coleman indirectly does the same thing in St. Paul!

It is because of the burnouts that any neighborhood does not want Porky's.

See this Article:
http://www.startribune.com/local/east/5487704...

Some fools doing burnouts in the Midway killed a pedestrian in 2009 while thir drunked beer drinking and pot smoking friends were watching.

No one wants this nonsense in their neighborhood. It is not good for kids, or any community.

Yes, and Porky's surely forced those fat slob Americans to consume its food, right?

If you all are sick of reading about Porky's then why are you commenting here?
