Why is it that people (it seems especially the 20-30 year olds) these days seem to think they need to have a firearm?

Who is his lawyer I like to know? Combinine the fact that he is a honkey and got a good lawyer. He just got away with killing somebody. No injustice for the dead.

Isn't 90 days a little harsh in this state for killing someone?

We have so many laws in this state & all this guy gets is 90 days? Why drop all the other charges to get more time? You can more jail time for a DWI then killing someone nowadays, what the hell is wrong with our justice system!

Hmmm, Someone breaks into a home in the middle of the night, attacks the homeowner, the homeowner defends himself, ultimately shooting the intruder.
What the heck is the government doing charging the homeowner with a crime?
The very fact that a fatal shooting resulted in a misdemeanor conviction with a 90 day sentence shows just how silly the charges were.
When the time comes that a person can't defend himself in his own home, it's time for a new government.

Our reasons for owning guns are none of your concern. If you're satisfied being a sheep then so be it, just don't get mad at us for taking responsibility for personal safety into our own hands.

None of my concern, huh? It's every BIT my concern when "your personal safety" means you feel you can just blow away anybody you want to. In this case, somebody he KNEW! I call that carelessness with a firearm, not "personal safety". The shooter couldn't yell "I HAVE A GUN!" so his buddy could say "Don't shoot, it's just me!" ?

I know more about the story. I know 2 of these guys personally & he wasn't defending his home. These were 3 drunk guys who got into a disagreement. The renter of the apartment stated that the dude could stay there & then later that night after many hours of drinking, things turned volatile & someone ends up dead?

You still think he was defending himself? BS...that guy still didn't deserve to die!

Sorry that you live in such a crappy part of town. I'd be packing too if I lived in in E-StP or N-MPLS. Thankfully, I don't. But it is understandable.
