Is this design meant to enliven the scene in the area? Because it does nothing to coordinate with the rest of the building either on campus or on nearby Grand River. And where is the parking? Are we to park in the "gerbil" cage, the multi-colored rank across the busy street? With the aging population of the cummunity, I can envision the old folks struggling across the boulevard in snow and sleet - maybe for the opening of the museum, but not on a regular basis. Aren't most of the docents over 50? Surely the metal structure will shrink and end up being a huge maintance problem - let's think this design through again.

We just drove by it today. It is SOO ugly next to the charm of the vintage campus buildings. It just doesn't fit. What in the world were they thinking??!!!
