A Friday ago, on TV they were interviewing a jobless couple whose house was in foreclosure. On the driveway was a Nissan. I shouted,“Guys, people in Japan thank you for their jobs.”

Ugh! Jobless Americans driving foreign; putting even more Americans out of work.

How come? Well, the Japanese have been luring us for years. They give their vehicles American sounding names. And our media promote them for free! Plus, they flood us with seductive ads. So no wonder we get sucked in.

As to their quality pitch: the March ‘09 J.D. Power report for dependability shows Buick tops Lexus; Lincoln & Mercury in top 5. Today, quality differences between Japanese and American, exist only in persons' minds influenced by BIASED media, who, in effect, sell Japanese cars.

For years they’ve been doing this, touting Japanese and knocking American. Yes, FOR FREE, media help sell MILLIONS of Japanese cars. Their slanted reporting makes it nightmarish for the Big 3 to compete. And because our auto industry is such an enormous factor in our economy, this costs America JOBS, JOBS, JOBS!

But the Japanese say,“We give America jobs. We build cars here and hire Americans to build them.”

Big deal! They assemble SOME here. The goal: get people to think:“They’re built here; that makes them American.” HOGWASH! They’re Japanese! Foreign!

And here’s the clincher: MOST Japanese and Korean vehicles sold here come from Asia by boat.

But no matter where vehicles are built what counts most is where profits end up. FACT: every year Japanese parent-corporations in Japan reap BILLIONS from cars sold in America. Yes, 31% of their income comes from the U.S.A.(see Google) These yearly billions support Japan’s economy at the expense of OURS!

We’re Japan’s cash cow! This, despite our almost 50 million people with no health care, 37 million in poverty, 12 million kids hungry each day, 77,000 bridges needing rebuilding, highways crumbling, inner-city schools deteriorating, and unemployment pushing 10%.

Considering all that, each year we let Japan milk us for billions? Can we build cars in Japan? Nope! In ‘08 they imported a puny 10,000 of ours. But they sold us 3 MILLION!!! Square shooters, NOT!

They’ve even refused to buy apples from us! They’re fiercely loyal to their own products. They close their market to us but FEAST on us!

And, oh yes, the South Koreans also feed on us. They sell us 800,000 cars a year but buy only 6,000 of ours.

Another bummer: many Big 3 dealers have conflicts of interest; they also sell foreign cars. So, they don't advertise and push:“DRIVE AMERICAN!” If they did, they’d sell lots more American and far fewer foreign. They’d put hundreds of thousands of Americans back to work. Yes, these dealers could do a lot to help our economy. Instead they shortsightedly add to our woes.

Anyway, from “FOREIGN-CAR-I-TIS,” we’ve lost a million jobs. And if we continue blind to this, estimates say up to 3 million more jobs will be lost. And some predict with trickle down it could be 4 million.

As to the 375,000 or so jobs we get from foreigners to assemble vehicles, well, if from that we lose 3-4 million jobs, that’s OK?

And now with U.S. backing, GM and Chrysler will be stronger. Even so, the Japanese and Koreans are still circling vultures hoping the Big 3 fail so they can devour the 100 year industry we created. Shall we help them?

NO! NO! Let’s back the new GM and Chrysler, as well as Ford, which on its own is reinventing itself. For three months now, Ford has outsold Toyota. Finally, we’re sniffing the stench of Japanese manure!

Support our economy! DRIVE AMERICAN!

"God bless America, land that I love, stand beside her...."

P.S. More on quality: In 2006, Toyota was under criminal investigation for hiding safety defects:

Boy this iluvAmerica chick is a real piece of brain-damaged, partisan work.

She does this same moronic schtick over and over with different titles on different blogs. Just do a google search for iluvAmerica and you'll find them.

I busted her for her lies and propaganda on the following thread.

And of course she cut and ran away when she couldn't defend herself.

Here's the thread link: http://www.topix.com/forum/city/oak-forest-il ...

Trust me ... it's worth a good read!
