Victims' brother pours out years of pain, rage

You could tell from Pat Spilotro's back how angry he was. It was shaking. In federal court Thursday, Spilotro was addressing the judge.

I'm very optimistic that we can rid the city/state of these types, through truth and sunshine.

hmmmmm, annie and pat are mad. Were they angry when their family members were victimizing others? In my opinion, it is enough to sentence on the evidence. The family of the deceased don't seem to be the zero tolerance types, and maybe shouldn't be allowed to browbeat the defendant. The judge doing so is enough. Besides, justice was done, whether they flap their gums or not.

Sorry, but the "Ant" and his brother took on the life of crime and murder. They got what they dished out by the people they worked for and also against.

Cannot feel sympathy for Marcello, either. Cold blooded killers, and I don't care if he pulled the trigger or not, he called the orders in or went along with other orders.

They only prey on the weak and got all that they deserve, nothing in the end.

Tony Spilotro killed a lot of people while running with Mad Sam DeStefano who was the worst killer/torturer in the history of The Outfit. Why should we even care when his family comes into open court crying about him being killed? Tony even killed Sam.

I had heard of this Jimmy DeLeo for at least a decade. None of it has been good. Yet, this guy kept getting re-elected in politics? What kind of people live in his district? They can't all be brain-dead and they can't all be intimidated or afraid of voting him out of office? This guy (DeLeo) must have some redeeming characteristics it would seem. Mayor Daley loves him from what I have been told.

I guess that you have to live and to have been raised in Cook County to understand why the people up there have always been willing to accept second-class merchandise and eat table scraps when it came to their elected officials. The rest of us outside of Cook County could just never understand it.

They should line up all the widows and kids from his brothers murders and let Pat look at them in the eye.I wonder if Pat would even be in court if this trial was for Tony if he would have lived to be tried. Then Michael's goofy wife who went to the outfit when she didn't like the deal she got from Hogies Pub and complaines she didn't get enough money. Anybody familar with the West side in the 70's and 80's never liked any of the Spilotros and it sounds like Pat is as big a a--hole as his brothers were.

Yeah well understand this. Elected officals are elected because they do things for the people. If that offical is mobbed up he can do even more for the people. It really doesn't matter how that offical can do for the people, lies, bribes, favors or pistol whip. Just as long as he DOES FOR THE PEOPLE.

The Spilotro brothers knew the score, especially Tony he us to bring his stolen jewelry into Hogies Pub and give it away to the pretty waitresses he was trying to score with or sell it to the ones he had no chance with. He told people he was a jeweler, he was a scum bag...and his brother Michael use to drumb up business by saying Frank Sinatra was coming in or some other actor like Manetti from Magnum P.I. or Robert Conrad. These guys knew all to well who they were playing with and what they were capable of and their families reeped the rewards.
