I am wondering what everyone thinks of the individual police officers by name. If anyone has any complaints about any of them, or if they think some do a good job. This should be interesting.

I dont know them by name but have had neighbors tell me that if I get a ticket, let them know because their relative who works on the force will take care of it. I heard this before on the blogs. That makes you wonder,,, how many tickets actually do get "taken care of" and how much money is lost by this.

I dont have names, but a while back my parked car was hit, along with some other cars by some construction equipment. The police officer who responded, did not get out of his car to see the damage. He did not even notice the others car being damaged. And he was parked 1/4 block away from the accident site. When the owners of the other cars came home later in the day, they had to call the police all over again. So the police was called twice over the same accident report. That and the report itself was skimpy on info. It was so lame.

This has to be Barrett Pedersen and his boy's trying to stir up more dirt. What is the matter with you people, a police officer's job is hard work never knowing what a routine stop will bring or how a missing child will turn out. Just like any other job things happen in a persons life, maybe he/she was not feeling well one day and was not as ambitious as usual. If you want to know the performance of a individual officer go ask the police chief Joe Patti, it is his job to know what each and every officer is doing. Maybe he should drive himself over to the station during the 3-11 shift or appear once in awhile during the ll-7 shift we supply him a car just for that but since you asked, the neighbors say he is home most of the day. So stop with the police officers and start with the top man if you what to throw dirt.
Shame on the person that put this blog topic on life must be dull for you that you need to probe into what other people are doing or is it that you just hate cops.

You are all so concerned about tickets being fixed call Chief Patti and find out.
Let him see who got their ticket fixed or is this just another stir up trouble for someone.

Take your fingers off the computer keys and put the phone near your mouth to find out.

I think they need more spanish speaking officers with the large spanish population that we have and only a few officers that speak it.

Call Chief Patti that is what he is being paid for, just don't be surprised when he stumbles for the answer.

How close can a child sex offender live to a school?

It is unlawful for a child sex offender to reside within 500 feet of a school, playground, or any facility providing programs or services exclusively directed toward people under age 18, unless they owned the property prior to July 7, 2000.

If they lived there they must be registered and can continue to live there. They cannot move next to a school or park.

According to the Illinois Child Sex Offender website, the one at 3100 block of Maple shows he is COMPLIANT. I think it would hurt to contact Police or the Trustee's on this.

I have to go and see how much 500 feet is. He lives less than a block from park. There are many kids there from the apartments and it does not have many people around.
