Let's see ... the state knew that they were dumping for 12 years. And did nothing about it.
Gosh, I just love giving up part of my salary every week to the state. It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy knowing that mentally disabled DEP employees will have a nice retirement.
And what about the perps who owned and dumped? Why are the troopers not going to pick them up for their Somers visit?

It's funny that the Pooles, a wealthy, old-Harwinton family, have never been held in any way responsible for this blatant pollution. I guess they abandoned the property because the land will never be worth the cost of cleaning it up. So let the taxpayers pay for it. I suppose we can well afford it. To the Pooles, enjoy your wealth! "Money doesn't talk, it swears!"
