They wouldn't take my business‎ - ‎ Saturday March 20, 2010
I called from New Mexico on a Saturday afternoon in March to send my mom a last minute get well basket. They said they could accommodate me and asked me how much I'd like to spend. I said I couldn't afford much, less than $50 - maybe something in the $20 to $30 range. They said their minimum was $40 plus a $10 delivery charge. They were within a mile of my mom's house, and apparently weren't so busy that they couldn't squeeze me in but rather than try to accommodate me by working with me and finding something a little less expensive to put together, they turned down my business. Guess business must be so good on the cape in the off season that they can turn away customers. So I called someone else, Amy White's Flowers in Harwichport, who gladly took my business and accommodated me by offering me something starting at $25. We settled on a basket arrangement of spring flowers at $35 plus a $5 delivery charge. I'll remember that the next time I need flowers in the Harwich area. Thanks, Amy!

My husband passed away on May 8, 2010. The following Tuesday my mother in law and I went to Lady Brett's Specialties and spent a great deal of time with her picking out special arrangements for the wake and funeral. Brett was so amazing..We were visibly upset and she was so kind and spent so much time with us putting together the perfect choices for Michael. We had the idea of a lobster and Brett pulled off the most amazing Huge Lobster complete with Antenaa, claws, and eyes! It was something that people are still talking about today!! I cannot thank Brett enough for her amazing artistic abilities and design and for the compassion she showed us during the darkest of our days! We will be back soon!

I ordered my Valentine's Day flowers from http://www.raleighflorist.com/valentines-day-... in Raleigh, NC. They were beautiful.

Lady Brett has been doing all of the flowers for my family on the Cape since the death of my father four years ago, when the arrangements were so beautiful that even I, a guy who would not normally notice such things, asked who did them.
Since then they've allowed me to pick up where my Dad left off, and send my mom beautiful flowers several times a year. My mom is a picky lady, and with just a few guidelines, they blow her away every time. Lady Brett even sings "Happy Birthday" to my mom when she delivers them.
This is the best flower shop I have ever dealt with. I'm expanding to send flowers to my sister who also lives in Harwich starting today.
