I'll vote for who I want too! I'll support whatever canidate I want too! The Mayor has a lot of nerve if he believes he can scare people into voting for him. Mayor Kellogg stop playing with people life stop forcing city employes to support you or else risk being fired. Stop harassing business owners for supportng other canidates. If you really did a good job as Mayor you wouldn't have to resort to petty tactics. Don't be afraid citizens of Harvey. This is a free country don't let anyone violate your voting rights. How do we stop this.

If what you are saying is true, then you are doing the right things by speaking up. The problem is people are fearful, they know what they have with the current Mayor and they are afraid it will get worst with another Mayor. But you are right To Old For This, is must stop. Your question, how do we stop this? By doing what you just did, but tell your friends, your neighbors, remind them to vote, take them to vote, remind them. Don't let anyone violate your voting rights, no ones know what candidate you voted for when you are at the polls. Cast your vote for the best person you think will help instead of hurt us in Harvey.

I live in Harvey and have never heard of anything like this. It seems that folks are willing to say anything to influence this election. Mayor Kellogg has given his heart and soul to the people of Harvey, and he should be respected for it.
He's the best candidate (period).

Harvey Resident, really do you really think Kellogg has given his heart and soul to the people, please. If that was so true then why don't the media report on the on goings in Harvey. There is no longer the Harvey Star/SouthTown. The street are filled with potholes, street lights are out, burned down building throughout the town, business are leaving, House are empty, people are moving out of the town, we are losing tax dollars while our taxing are increasing. The highest unemployment rate. While I will agree, he may have his heart and soul into serving himself, but not others, not us. I too am a resident of Harvey. I see it and I bet others do to.

Seriously people you have to be debating whether Kellogg is a good mayor? Your police force is sued every other day - look around at your housing - what decent business would want to move in to Harvey? Clean up City Hall would be a good start at improving the community! P.S. Who is currently in charge of your police force? Have the Feds been in there lately to look at/for false records again?

I live in Harvey. There is definitely voter intimidation taking place everyday. Business owners are scared to support a candidate. Thats why you don't see signs or posters of other candidates in store windows. If you support a person other than Kellogg openly, you will face repercussions. Your business will get some type of fine, or all of a sudden you get closed down for a few days. They will find a way to punish you. If you work for the school district or the city of Harvey and you are heard or seen with another candidate, you will be fired or punished. No doubt about it. This creates an environment of fear and ignorance. People are afraid to organize or have open dialogue. How is this healthy? How can a city grow if the citizens are being treated like prisoners? These are the same people who voted for him twice. I guess we have to vote for him for the rest of our lives OR ELSE. Do we owe him anything, am I wrong? He gets defensive when he is portrayed like a gangster. If you don't want to be portrayed as a gangster, stop acting like one. He acts like a victim but in reality he is doing the abusing. Leaders should not act as victims. Harvey needs change! Vote for who you want too! Call the police if you are harassed! Don't allow your rights to be violated!

Harvey Res-why would you call the Police-who do you think controls the Police-Kellogg knows everything that goes on at the Police Department-if you are threatened or intimidated you need to contact someone at David Orr's office or someone at the State's Attorney's office. If you call the Harvey Police, you may very well get a hand-picked Kellogg crony guaranteed to take your report and do absolutely nothing to help you--your report might even get shown to the very person that you are reporting. You speak of not allowing your rights to be violated-very good--but don't advise people with wrong information-hope this helps you--

I hate to admit, but you're right. It's sad when people can't call the police in their own community, for fear of some kind of retaliation from elected public officials. These are peoples life being played with. This is what Harvey has been reduced too. It's not fair and its not right. Call the State attorney office or David Orr. Don't let anyone violate your rights.

Just wanted to make sure you had the proper people to contact once the typical Harvey Bulls*^t Politics starts--I wouldn't report my lost DOG to the Harvey Police let alone some type of Political Intimidation or wrong-doing. But here is to hoping you don't have to contact anybody. Sure would be nice to just have a normal election and get rid of this dope dealing fool--wouldn't it?

WoW, just got back from the aldermatic debate. For the ones thats showed, congrat's and good luck.
Pretty funny to see that all that were there, all said the same thing. KELLOGG HAS TO GO!
Next one is the 5th of March. I strongly suggest that everyone show and voice concerns. The next one is for the Harvey Police Chief and if you know what has become of Harvey, the police, and the administration under Kellogg you should go and voice your opinoin. It should be great to here how he will explaine all the stuff that has and continues to occur under his watch? Mark my words, he will blame everyone for everything, but take no responsability for him, or Kellogg!

Vote for Chuck Givines. Chuck is the only logical choice for mayor. Chuck has no agenda other than to bring Harvey back from the brink of failure to most thriving city in the south suburbs

Its a shame that one person can destroy an entire city here u people(no disrespect) sit n talk about the police department being kellogg croonies but what u fail to realize all of them are not the only croonies he has are the people in charge other than that there are several officers who are against him and have lawsuits and things against him just as you do. The incumbent is incompetent to run a city. His track record shows that he has only ruin the city. DONT VOTE FOR THE INCUMBENT. HES IMMATURE, LACKS INTEGRITY LACKS THE INTELLIGENCE THAT'S NEEDED TO CHOOSE QUALIFIED PEOPLE TO DO THE JOB THEY WERE HIRED TO DO. 8 years was more
than enough time for us to see which direction he was steering the city into. In 4'years HARVEY WILL BE A THIRD WORLD CITY! wake up.

PS. THIS GUY TOLD ME OUT HIS MOUTH AND I QUOTE "IF YOU CAN TRICK THEM YOU CAN GET THEM"! That's his philosophy when he deals with the citizens. His disrespect is atrocious so make the right decision 4-5-11. THE PRESENT ADMINISTRATION IS UNDER THE CIRCUS ACT LET'S GET THESE
CLOWNS OUT OF OFFICE AND TELL THEM TO TAKE THEIR SHOW ON THE ROAD!

I know people who work in the school district the mayor and his family (sister , cousin and 2 city employees) controls. They are afraid for their jobs and more. The mayor and superintendent thing like thugs and roll like it when they have to. Why the feds haven't swooped in on them is a mystery. The immediate solution is to vote him out. The best of the group of candidates is Givines. Tell your friends and family in Harvey to vote Givines because Harvey is going to implode if the man in the pretty suits gets another term!

Kellogg is the best candidate. Givens is 179 years old. Brenda Thompson was fired from her job and has no teeth. Patterson is sick. And Cummings is flat broke

I don't live there anymore, but when I did everyone knew Chuck G. was a major drug dealer and former mayor Johnson was the biggest crack head in town. These guys are just trying to steal money again.

This was a total hit job made up by Chuck and his people, duh.

Kellogg is the best candidate, flawed but still a good mayor for the people. Brenda, Chuck, and the rest are only there to rob the coffers.

I would vote for a guy with several degrees versus a former drug runner any day.

Kellogg has done nothing but rob the city while you sit and code for the idiot again. His degree has the police department close from 3 to 11 pm, his degree doesn't have enough employees to get the job done but yet I guess its because ther city has no money right? I think not his family is well taken care if while they are stealing the citys money but yet the city is falling apart do him and that degree ain't shit!

Education is a powerful tool. It can be used for good and bad. Regardless of what any of us think, what is important is what the residences thinks and how much of a change they want. Education is not only in a form of a good public speaker but in the actions of that speaker. Well former harvey, I am glad that you moved, I just hope you don't come back and vote at your old address for your friend. It seems that Kellogg's friends do that, they move but yet they vote, they move and no longer paid any taxes to our schools, park districts, library districts and above all to our city, yet they feel very compled to voice their opinions of our city and come back to vote. Please stop this behavior. The only ones being cheated out is the residence, they are the ones getting hurt by your actions. Thank you.
