Self sufficiency is a good thing. We have become too dependent and helpless.

I can't wait for the environmental movement to find fault with turbines (and every other source of energy, clean or not). What happens when birds and insects are killed or wind patterns are disturbed enough to affect the climate? The only truly clean energy is none at all. Change you can believe in.

I want to build a wind turbine on my residential, vacant lot. What do I have to do here in Ohio? Are there special permits or have local governments made this idea too expensive.?

Many of us homeowners would invest in a windturbine if we knew it was economically viable, it would be approved by our planning and zoning departments, and we knew that the turbine manufacturer and installer were not "fly-by-night" flim-flam artists.
