this is not the first time sumner county has let an inmate go. there has been a problem with the jail supervisors releasing inmates before there release date has been met. some have been released up to a month or so early when the supervisor is the one who is supposed to double check the officers work on who is releasing the inmate. they have let people go and then realize they should not have and sent jail officers unarmed to track this man down before the news or public will find out. This has been a ongoing problem for the last 2 years and they just keep it quiet.
